How did we do? (FastTech.com)

I’m speechless! 2 orders from Hong Kong, CNQG and FT, both arrived to EU/Balkans, in less then 11 days! that’s absolutely amazing!

Thanks FT/CNQG!

I have been buying from Fasttech exclusively since they first opened shop. My recent $100 order included 2 tank007 e09. One of the e09’s has a badly off center emitter. They offered me a small discount on my next order so I accepted the discount instead of mailing the light back. I have been messaging them through my open ticket for the past 3 days to request my discount code but I haven’t received a reply. I have had small issues with my past orders and they have been taken care of quickly but this one is taking longer.

My orders show the same way, you have to use a third party tracker like 17tracker or whatever its called. Tracking usually shows up 4 to 5 days after the order for me. So far, my recent Singpost packages spend around 10 days in China before the tracking starts moving. They have slowed down since June IMO. HK post is normal from what I can tell and much faster. FT packaged my last order up the next day, but its been a week and the tracking number doesn’t even show that it has been picked up. Looks like the last Singpost order will take more than 20 days.

So, FT is no longer my first choice either. They should give you a choice to use HK post or a faster method. I receive stuff off ebay in 8 days from China, its pathetic they can’t do likewise.

At 45 days the package is considered lost and very seldom do they ever show up. I’m a worldwide shipper and out of thousands of packages I’ve had 2 show up after 45 days, one in Russia and one in Brazil. Both customers had to go get it, both were caused by custom’s mistakes. Both are repeat customers.

At 45 days insured/registered parcels can be claimed and refunded because they are officially lost at that point. I personally insure all international packages and we do loose a few per year. I average 11 days to most places, 15 days is usually the maximum to places like South America. I bet FT doesn’t insure the low value packages and they will try to avoid loosing that money by stalling as much as possible. But, after 45 days the postal system marks them as lost, so no need to wait any longer for a claim. That’s why PayPal has a 45 day period, if it doesn’t arrive in 45 days it probably won’t. Personally I would open a PayPal dispute at 30 days and get the ball rolling. No need to wait past 30 IMO. You can always cancel the dispute. I usually just ship a replacement to my customers at 30 days unless I know they gave a bad address or they moved etc. If its an expensive item, I wait 45 days, get my insurance money and then refund or ship a replacement. .

Its good to know that FT sent a replacement after 45 days, many vendors would not. So, at least they are doing the right thing. I use more caution though, doesn’t hurt to open a PayPal dispute well before 45 days so you don’t miss the window.

20 days? :frowning:

I did raise the issue quite late (26 days) because of the tracking info. Most parcels from China I receive by 10-14 days but occasionally some take a little longer.

Since it was the first time I had a missing order with FastTech I thought I’d give them a chance to rectify without involving Paypal.

The quickest order I’ve received from FT was 20 days via Singpost. All my orders have included batteries though, the last 20 day order was four NCR18650B’s and a charger. No fakes so far, I get my flame 26650’s from them also. At least I get a good product at an excellent price.

Now, my latest order is shipping out quicker than before. I tracked it today and it shows its dispatched to overseas. So this one went out quickly IMO, I ordered late in the week and it was packaged in two days, shows it was ready for pick up on a Saturday. The tracking never showed it being picked up, it just went straight to the dispatched overseas mode. So, this battery order may be fairly quick actually. Thursday to Tuesday is not bad.

Maybe Singpost has caught up, didn’t they have a Holiday recently? I’ve had USPS parcels bounce around the east coast for 11 days due to weather delays, crap happens.

Thanks alot for this, so actually this work for SG same as HK post as well? that’s great! HK post/Fast tech automated link tracking didn’t show anything like 10 days, now i checked with 17 track, and it show at once where the shippement is, thanks one more time, i tought it only work for CNQG - HK post.

Deeeelllaaaayyyyyy!!!!!!

Ordered a flashlight from FT on 11 June (no batteries).

On 19 June, having not received any mail abt shipping, I opened a ticket on their website. Same day answer was that item was not in stock and had to wait untill 20 June to have them in stock. But same day also 19 June they sent me the tracking number, with SG post.

Sing Post showed that code as despatched to destination country only on the 26 June.

After that, nothing. No news on Singpost, nor on track17 and similar, and today 5 July just talked with Italian post at the phone and they confirmed that code still has not yet entered in Italy.

Is it normal for items to get stuck in Singapore postal service/airport for so many days without notice? FT reply addressed delay responsibility to postal jam in SG, and to wait a few more days...

Sure i'm not happy at the moment...

Parcel arrived 10 days since order using SG, I’m happy

I got some of my last orders with sg post too
They took 18, 11 and 16 days from confirm receipt until delivered so I am fine with that.
Sometimes HK post is faster sometimes SGP but sometimes it takes over a month or two…

It seems SG Post is slower about dispatching shipments, I have a higher number of orders just say “received” and sit there for a week or longer before being along.

I have had a number of successful orders with Fasttech, but recently I was shipped a Convoy M1 host rather than the S2 I had ordered. Thus began my descent into the kafkaesque labyrinth of Fasttech support. I kid, but I am getting rather frustrated at the convoluted nature of getting, what I thought was a simple mistake, sorted out. In hindsight, I should have kept the more expensive M1 host and moved on with my life. Here, in all its mind-numbing detail, is the transcript of my support exchange thus far. I beg you not to read it, unless you masochistically enjoy subjecting yourself to this level of trivial interaction.

I don’t understand. I did send a picture of the m1. Is there something wrong with it? What do you want a picture of exactly?

Thanks for your attachment#2 since it is not clearly showed in attachment#2.

Very sorry about the issue.

Would you like to have a replacement (we can replace it with our factory)?
We have the return address in Miami. By the way, to check whether covering postage for you or not, could you please consult your local post office what’s the cheapest postage to ship the item to Miami by UXEXP or regular airmail without tracking number?

Please let me know how much is the postage so that I can arrange, thanks.

Yes, I would like a replacement.

I checked online and the postage is $2.58 for first class. I don’t know what UXEXP is, but this is the cheapest.

What is the return mailing address?

I packaged the host and purchased a shipping label. It was slightly cheaper than I thought - $2.21. Here are pictures of the receipt and package.

Sorry for the issue.

Your order A063033332 has packaged well and left our warehouse now until we read your message, since last weekends off working.

Would you mind to add it to your next new order?

Sorry again and thanks for your understanding.

I am not happy about this situation. I made the order A063033332 only 8 hours ago, so there was no weekend involved. I don’t know why you say this? I was not planning on making another order now and the parts for sku 1277401 are in order A063033332, so they are useless to me until I get sku 1277401.

OK, but the return was delivered yesterday in Miami according to the tracking. Also, what about the shipping costs, aren’t you going to refund those as well?

Thanks very much for you to send the m1 back to us.

Your correct item 1277401 has been shipped out of our warehouse with your new order A070125984.

Sorry for our checking mistake in #15 and #17, since you paid $8.78 for 1 pcs of SKU 1277401 in your last order, then we will send you the correct item SKU 1277401, so we only need to refund you the shipping cost of $2.21 for returned package to your paypal account.

Please confirm above information so that we can issue the postage. Thank you.

No, I don’t understand your math. 15 and 17 are correct. If you look at response 13, I was asked to make a new order for sku 1277401, which would then be refunded upon receipt of the m1. I did this. I have now paid for sku 1277401 twice, so I am owed $9.48 + $2.21.

We’ve reached 20 posts and no end in sight. We were so close at post 17, but defeat was snatched from the jaws of victory at the last moment. I’ll keep everyone updated on the riveting turn-by-turn to see how all this plays out. Thanks for watching.

I also got lost in that jungle of messages.. but that might be because Im pretty tired

Something I have seen with Fasttech when making a return, they asked me to post back to HK via cheapest method. Then later they ask for tracking No? I sent with tracking for my own peace of mind, but had I sent via the cheapest method there would be no tracking. Unless you are returning a very cheap item I would say always use tracking as it will be asked for to prove the returned item has arrived

So here we are at episodes 21 and 22 of the Fasttech support saga and still no end in sight. Take special note of their response both apologizing for and exponentially increasing the confusion level. Oh, the delicious irony…

Sorry for that I made a mistake.

Please try to find that you’ve paid a value of SKU1277401($8.34, which including the disccount for $0.44)in order A061852183, you sent back the wrong item to us since our warehouse sent you a wrong item M1. So we need to refund the shipping cost of $2.21 to you and replace the correct item to you.

Sorry for confusing.

Thanks very much if you can confirm above.

I’m sorry, I don’t understand what you have written, but I will try to go through it again.

I originally ordered sku 1277401 in order A061852183, but was sent the wrong item. I sent back the wrong item and was told that the correct sku 1277401 would be added to my next order. I then made a new order but it was shipped before sku 1277401 was added to it. I was then told to place a new order for sku 1277401 which would then be refunded. I placed a new order, A070125984, for sku 1277401. Now I just need you to refund me for that order, as I was told I would be.

I also have tickets with tons of messages… I am getting really tired… Ordered some Pana Batteries… 2 of them had damaged wrapping… I sent them back. After they got the tracking number from me, they sent out the new ones… Sadly one of the new ones is DOA - lol! They ask me again to send the DOA battery back with my defect i4 charger I purchased 2 weeks before. Now it took me tons of messages to get shipping reimbursement for both shipments… First they did not understand, then they sent me wrong gift certificates and finally they sent me the same code twice… Very grueling and the story seems to continue.

With my damaged Asgard they promised and confirmed me to send a new reflector and driver with a other order. Suprise Suprise. Now 3 weeks later I got the order without the reflector and driver… They apologized and sent it now out seperatly.

What I can see is, that they really try to do very good customer service but it seems they dont know what they are doing sometimes. Maybe the language barrier is to high.

After the MAP issues it seems they are focusing on smoking shit :frowning:

Just joined the forums so this is my first post, I found out about the forums and FastTech from an online acquaintance, I must say I’m impressed with both the forums and FastTech - but this thread is about FastTech, so. . .

Ordered a Convoy S4, Itellicharger i2 and two Pannie 18650s on 20th. June, order was shipped on 21st. June and arrived here in Northern Tasmania on 7th. July - so 17 days from order to delivery. Quite impressed with FastTech, package was well put together, torch was in a box with foam padding and the batteries were in a protective plastic case wrapped in bubble wrap. Can’t really complain about anything with my first experience - well done FastTech!

As a noob I must say I was blown away by the Convoy S4, but I guess that is a subject for another thread

Is Jasmine (FT) still around???

I sent her a PM a couple of days ago, but have not yet received a reply.

And just like that… Today the fog has lifted and the birds are chirping outside my window. Our tale comes to end, complete with a wholesome moral and everything. US$11.69 has been deposited in my Paypal account. Post #22 miraculously cleared up the last remaining doubt Fasttech staff harbored about my version of events. I don’t know what magic combination of words I lit upon to open the golden doors, I only know that perseverance has, once again, payed off. Heed this lesson well.

As we close out, I do have to take note that I haven’t actually received the fabled sku 1277401. It is, presumably, somewhere in the great Sino-American postal netherworld, wending its western way. Do I see a sequel ominously portending on the horizon… Que suggestive music and fade to black.
