Remove the switch, reach in through the hole with a stiff piece of wire (coathanger is not nearly stiff enough, 1/8" welding rod works well) with a 45* bend in the last 1/2" (like a hockey stick). Then use it to lever the driver out.
Yes, as Comfy said, the driver just pops out. If it is stubborn, you may need to warm it up first. A hair drier or head gun can be used. Just don't heat it so much that plastic things start to melt.
There is a good chance your cells are damaged. You may want to charge them in a safe location and them monitor for how well they hold their voltage.
You can always check to see if it’s the driver by simply taking a couple of wires and a single 18650 and touching them to the positive and negative on the driver. that will tell you if you somehow damaged a spring or un-soldered it.
I don’t know, but I think I spy, with my little eye, a very smoky look in the 10-12 o’clock area. Especially under that toroid, right at 11:58 or so, beside the red power lead…

But by fixing this one, you will be better off in the long run. Just sayin…
