You can sign up at usps.com and use your current computer/inkjet printer (assuming you use this traditional equipment).
According to usps.com, you can "Skip the trip to the Post OfficeTM and save up to 16%." I have used the eBay/Paypal equivalent in times past, but that only worked for eBay sales. It was nice.
I assume you have a scale to weigh your packages.
I got a 4x6 label printer (Zebra LP2844) off ebay. Works fantastic with Endicia, and I think you can use it with other postage systems as well.
I do it right off the Post Office web site.
I have a laser printer and labels with the sticky back that you can print 2 on a sheet.
They give you the tracking for free if you do it on line
Those labels are pretty expensive. If you create a (free) UPS account, you can order rolls of the 4x6 labels for free.
Will it put the bar code on???
Yes and I hate doing it off my printer to much time cutting / tape lol
