I found this forum on Google. I have an 850nm IR T-75 UniqueFire (UF-1605) that I need to power without the 18650 battery, as it will be mounted next to my license plate recognition camera. The camera is currently good at getting plates, but the IR from the camera is only good enough. Using the flashlight, the results are much better, allowing my to change the camera settings to get better captures.
This flashlight has been talked about a few times, and I was hoping someone could help me bypass the switch, so that when the flashlight is powered, it is on. Since this will be a static & exterior installation, I need to weatherproof the power, which I plan on using heat shrink & power the flashlight using a 4.2v power supply - but considering some of the mods I see on this forum, I am certainly wanting guidance on what is best for the pill I have, and ensuring this lasts so I dont have to mess with it too much. I was going to automate the light turning on and off using a simple relay to be triggered by the camera.
