I wonder if your anti-adhesive is some kind of gel-based “paint stripper” (either acid or alkali type) like: THIS or “adhesive remover” like : THAT
Or simply the : Loctite 7200 Gasket Remover

After recovering from another bout of food poisoning I managed to translate the contents of the anit-ahesive vial, and it doesn’t state what it’s made of, just how to use it and what it does. Typical. It’s nothing special though, I’d suspect you’d be able to buy the same or a similar product at your local hardware store.
Does it have a distinctive smell?
Hope you’re all right, wkJR. Thanks for the info though.
Thanks for the feedback, WKJR. Will check out the stores. Hope you get well soon. When i get tummy flu and nothing seems to keep itself in, I just do a liquid diet of non-carbonated isotonic drinks like Gatorade for a day or 2.
It smells very similar to shoe polish, with a gooey yet watery texture.
Thanks ryansoh3, Orion, it’s really no big deal, probably the 3rd time in 3 years it’s happened, would help if I tried to get more rice and vegetables in my diet instead of being such a carnivore, meat’s something to be careful with around these parts.
Think I just figured it out, the one thing that wouldn’t translate was “IC”, and after some research:
A number of vendors sell it at Ali-express:
Here’s what I’m using:
It’s most likely the same stuff.
I wonder if WD40 might dissolve thread locker.
This thread is getting really gross.
OH, you were talking about the thread unlocker :)!
I think our chances of attracting females to the forum just got slimmer. :~
No wonder Chloe hasn’t been here! Like the handle on Old-Lumens OP, if women dun find you appealing enuf, one shd at least be useful wif ur hands! Btw for those keen, WKJR’s breakthru is half cheaper than Aliexpress at EBay for $8.99 w free shipping : HERE
FYI

It is only removable once cured, by heating up parts to 500°F (260°C).

For disassembly, shear with standard hand tools and remove with methylene chloride. In rare instances where hand tools do not work because of excessive engagement length, apply localized heat to nut or bolt to approximately 482°F (250°C). Disassemble while hot.

Tks Justin. Now I know who to send my remaining locked flashlight heads to! LOL. Already tried boiling, and some heads came off, but some didn’t. Either gonna get me a heat gun or strap clamps maybe. Dun wanna ruin the finishing. Btw just found out what BGA IC means : ball grid array and integrated circuits -
I doubt that any chinese manufactured flashlight has ever had a genuine loctite brand product applied to it at the factory. So what applies for loctite release probably wont even remotely apply to what we find on flashlights; besides high amounts of heat and torque. Browsing the loctite site (often regardless of the product color) shows that different thread locking compounds require different methods/chemicals to release them… and there are many they make that arent listed on their consumer or commercial site.
That makes sense… China flashlight factories could be using adhesives that aren’t listed. So perhaps their shenzen-made IGA IC adhesive remover applies to them as a solvent better.
Anyone able to update this?
The BGA stuff is still available from several sources, here’s one:

Checking before buying some (and I do rather wonder what the stuff is).
I’ve got a light with a bad driver (put into the head from the front, screwed in on a separate set of threads, can’t get it out from the battery side), then the LED board and reflector go in then the bezel’s thoroughly glued)
Manufacturer doesn’t know or want to say how to take it apart, tho’ I got a replacement light.
Now I want to take apart the bad one, have so far only tried boiling the head in a bag, and when that failed just boiling it.
And padded Vise-grips to try to unscrew the bezel. No luck so far.
The thing is I am sure in my P12 there is also a O-ring sealing the glue from any liquids
I heated it up and used massive force no chance to get it loose
I had to do that with a Solarstorm 3 x xm-l2 light with a bad emitter. Took ungodly amounts of torque in a vice grip (using a towel to keep from scratching the anno), and eventually, had to take it to work to put it in their vice to get it undone. It will not be easy.
Cautionary, this might be the same stuff:

… dangerous if you don’t take precautions. The basics apply - don’t let it get on your skin, ensure ample ventilation (FUN FACT- at room temperature, one decomposition product of Attack is phosgene… a military chemical weapons grade choking agent!!!) to prevent catching a whiff, and store in a proper container. I use all glass or HDPE containers - the vapors alone will dissolve other plastics.
