How to tell the difference between PF or regular 18650 battery

If the label on the battery days 18650 2900mah and says nothing about high discharge how can you tell the difference between the 18650b 2900mah and 18650pf 2900mah? Is there a test you can do?

I would guess if it’s not properly labeled then it would be a fake, just a guess though.

Panasonic NCR18650PF cells are green and clearly marked “NCR18650PF” while regular Panasonic 2900mah cells are grey and marked “NCR18650” only.

Here is a little picture, which shows some different Panasonic batteries. The 2900PF have a similar lime color. There are also the Panasonic 2900PD (with 10A high drain on the market, which are the forerunner of the 18650PF) with the same color.
