Hmm didn’t know it was your idea!? It works very well. But I need to read more about how it works. Varying the current changes the structure of the crystals?
The same technology was also used in the Manker Crown.
Using a potentiometer, lol. I never filed for a usage patent, i just wanted to see flashlight companies using this for more than its original privacy purposes.
Privacy glass came out years ago, it was slightly after that I proposed the flashlight diffuser application. It was definitely way before the manker crown came out.
Even moreso, another member of another forum proposed it before I did, back in 2013, lol. I think I made my proposal back in 2016 or so, so that member concieved it before I did, so props to him, and technically it was his idea, just privacy glass wasn’t a mainstream thing yet.
