For fun I want a light that can start a fire. I don’t have a clue about modding so it will have to be a store bought job.
I assume multiple 18650, multiple emitter and some kind of focused lens.
What are some good choices? Keep it budget. Less than $50 would be great. Would prefer it to be LED if possible but I know they don’t produced as much heat as other lights.
I also want it to start a fire with the light output NOT BECAUSE OF faulty batteries or some other mishap. LOL!!!
I think you may need to skip on the LED part. Xenon drop-ins can be focused to light paper. But these were old stuff, quite a few years ago, I don’t know if these are still available without modding.
Yes, I think you need to pass on LEDs and go for a HID torch, more than 50w I believe (I don’t really know the needed wattage, I always looked for best efficiency, not most-power-hungry on purpose ha ha ha - that said HID ain’t too bad as far as efficiency is concerned).
Anything but wicked laser garbage. Horrid company. Marketing high power lasers as play things. They sold a Dual ended 1W + 1W just-try-not-to-blind-someone “Sith light saber”. Plus many reports of piss poor quality.
If you got a big pile of brush that is green, shove a road flare in the bottom of it. It works great. Learned it from a cop friend. I wonder where he got all of his road flares from. 0:)
