Personally I don't do knives - our laws are a major pain that way. Not helped by the scumbag tabloid press screaming "knife crime!!!!" and generally raising a classic moral panic. But that Spyderco one is scary expensive.
I grew up in the Philippines and everyone had at least 1 butterfly knife. I used to be able to play with 2 knives (1 in each hand) at the same time. They are really fun to play with but here's a bit of advice: if you are a beginner, make sure you start off with a single edge butterfly knife. Trust me on this.
Scary! That's a good word for it and most likey why I'm having a hard time justifying it. I could get five or six nice lights for what that Spyderco costs. If I can keep it out of my shopping cart for another week or so I just might be able to resist. I think the key is to find some lights to distract myself with.
Me too, exactly the same! When on highschool, I was always carrying two butterflies , one for each hand and even managed to throw correctly the right-hand one for 50% of the time (yes... I know... but back then it felt great ). At the age of 16-17, I was carrying seven knives on average every day... And of course were and are completely illegal in my country... But, youth, what can you do...
