Wow, I’ve never seen a manufacturer replace its entire product portfolio literally overnight. Looking at some “before” and “after” snapshots, almost the whole thing is different now. Many of the items have the same names as before, but now refer to completely different products.
It would be fairly easy for a drop-shipping portal to turn over a whole catalog overnight, but it’s very impressive for a manufacturer. The guys in R&D must have been up all night, designing a whole set of new products from scratch.
The video shows a date of 2025-11-28.
The flashlights shown in the video appear to be models from 2011. I don’t remember every model from back then, but I recognize some, and even have one sitting on my shelf right now, purchased in 2012. It was discontinued by 2013.
Why are other companies’ products from 2011 on the display shelves of an Aurora video from late 2025?
Hey, you can make a simple, one-take video with no cuts.
Start with Bob greeting the viewer in front of the factory. Then have him walk into the factory through the showroom, giving a quick look at the current flashlight models being manufactured.
Next, walk into the CAD/CAM R&D room and briefly showcase the CAD/CAM designs of your lights. From there, continue to the CNC machining area and demonstrate how the CAM file is used to mill the components.
After that, head to the assembly line, pick up a finished flashlight, and bring it to the QC lab for testing. Show the quality control process and demonstrate that the light is fully tested and ready for shipment.
Since all the flashlights on the site seam to be CGI 3d render and there is not a single real picture of an accentual original flashlight??

It is very unfortunate that someone rushed a web site into production that started things off so poorly. Maybe someone closer to your organization should be made responsible for reviewing and approving website changes before they are published.
From time to time, the BLF and it’s german partner-forum TLF have BLF/TLF special editions of flashlights.
How flexible are you with your company, if we would choose you in a democratic process to be a possible manufacturer for the next Special Edition?
Most here have some love towards High CRI, low DUV lights, possibly with Anduril 2, if not, then a buck driver with a very low moon-mode with <1lm, no strobe or SOS (or at least hidden), some want warm white LEDs, some 4000K, some 5700K (but noone wants 6500K or more). So possibly one host with different possible LED-options to choose for the customer.
The amount of flashlights rarely exceeds 100, price must be below 50$. Last BLF Special Edition was a Wurkkos TS28 in blue for around 35$ with shipping and 21700 battery. We are the budgetlightforum after all ![]()

Why this LED? The SFT42R 5000K is strictly better, offering
- More output+efficiency at the same power
- More throw at the same power
- Better tint
- Better angular tint homogeneity
- Nicer behavior in secondary optics
with zero drawbacks.
Many people (myself included) would refuse to buy any light that uses the SST40, unless it is easy to swap the emitter afterward. Choosing the SST40 over a superior option also hints at the possibility that not enough thought was put into the engineering of the light.
