I am frigging pissed off at Thrunite right now… |(
First off I like to say that I love my modded TN-31, when I was modifying it a while back I noticed that the O-ring between the crown and the glass was cracked, I thought first that I had damaged it without being aware, and continued with the mod. So months later I wanted to replace the O-ring to make sure that my light is still waterproof within spec. so I got a new o-ring in the mail and decided it was time to change the cracked O-ring.
This one!

I open up the crown bezel and the O-ring seems glued to the glass… hmmm…. I didn’t notice that before! so I remove it and separate the glass from the O-ring, the O-ring is still holding to the SS crown, and I think maybe it was installed by pressure inside the groove, so I run my fingernail around the O-ring to loosen it up and remove it.
Thats when I notice that there is frigging super glue or something similar between the O-ring and the SS bezel, and the O-ring is all brittle… WTF!!! |( SERIOUSLY Thrunite??? what kind of retarded thing is that!!! So I proceeded to try and remove the pieces of O-ring stuck inside the groove, it was a PITA, had to use a pencil and toothpicks to get it out, it came out in pieces. |( I got most of it out but still, there are some pieces of O-ring and glue stuck in there.
Here are the pics… Is that Super glue???

I have the bezel in an acetone bath to see if it will dissolve the O-ring remains and the glue, if not successful will try gas to try and clean up the mess they did, since when is a good idea to put crazy glue on O-rings??? SMH :~
Aren’t you supposed to put lubricant instead???
