Im looking to buy 500 lion batteries, best and cheapest place?

Hello all,
A buddy of mine is opening up a flashlight and vape shop. He wanted me to ask the forum wheres a reputable place to buy cells with such high volume.
I told him, its hard to get lion cells right now because Asia is tracking down and getting stuck in customs, but I told him there might be USA dealers but I’ll ask the forum for help.

Any ideas?
Thanks everybody

Great dealer in Indiana, but I don't know if he sells wholesale.

Oh, I didn't look at who was posting, you know this. Sorry.

i know a fellow in china selling batteries and all kinds of these stuff, batteries, phone camera lens, some flashlights etc…
i could ask him for you.
no worries about being blocked,
so far i ordered from him a few times using china post and fedex int. eco. both arrived promptly. fedex took around 1 week while china post 1 month.

what batteries are you looking to get. if you could give me a list of brand, models and quantity then should be able to get a more exact quote.

Drop me a PM. If you could give your friends email contact then i’ll get the supplier to contact him directly.

Li-ion:

I would suggest that he contact eFest about getting batteries. I use them in my mods and I would probably use them in my torches if I had more. They are great batteries considering the price.

i dont think e2 field has enough stock.
ill look into all battery.com they seem legit, ive seen this site around numerous times and for a long time too.
yea, efest was what my buddy has in his mods currently. not sure how he got that battery…maybe its what most vape places carry…
any other places? so Asia is a no go for now huh? i guess he will have to fork out the extra bucks to get them from the states for now.

my supplier has already comfirmed that it is possible to get battries from china. just need to use fedex. pm me

eFest ships via DHL, so there should be no problem getting them.

tried alibaba.com? or aliexpress.com?

my bet is, anything paypal is worth a try. coz u can easily escalate it to file a report if anything goes wrong

If he needs 500 li-ion batteries I would contact a company like Keeppower.

does anybody here know if quality batteries effect electronic cigs/vapes/mods?
because if they dont, then my friend will just get some cheap batteries, but if they make the vape hit harder with more smoke or whatevers, then maybe its a good idea to buy better batteries….or is the better batteries just gonna give longer run times?
he is opening up a retail vape store here in the bay area. CA.
and will have a online website for flashlights coming shortly. but he’s mostly carrying fenix, eagle tac , klarus, olight, and other higher brands,no chinese brands yet. he is based out of here as well. so fast shipping.

The cheap cells typically have lower capacity than stated, sometimes much lower. Then there's the safety question for a powerful device used a few inches from your face.

and looking at fasttech website, they tested their *fire batteries, you’d notice that the actual capacities are much lower that advertised. branded/good ones are different though.

Fenix, Klarus, and Olight are Chinese brands.

everything is made in china nowadays

I would assume cheap batteries also give less recharges and recharge capacity then quality batteries

You assume right!

+1

Eagletac is made in China too.

Yes quality batteries make a huge difference in e-cigs especially mechanical mods. With a mechanical mod you need a high discharge battery that stay at the top of the power curve for as long as possible. Also regardless of the setup the reason for using 18650’s is that you want longer runtimes. If you didn’t need large mAh’s then they could just use smaller ego style all in one batteries all the time.

Here is the thing, in Vaping you have two kinds of setups right now that use 18650’s the first one is Mechanical. These are basically “direct drive” they vary the amps by using coils that are higher or lower resistance. Sub Ohm vaping is popular with Mechanical mod users. These must be protected batteries and high quality.

Then you have Variable Voltage mods, these basically have a “driver” in them to change the voltage, same Ohm coil gets you a hotter coil and more vapor with more voltage. These do not have to be protected because the “drivers” have built in protection. A ton of people in the vaping community use AW IMR who are kinda gear heads or gadget heads I guess you would call them.

Now to throw a monkey wrench into this. You have two kinds of e-cig users. The informed and the uniformed. The informed are going to be broken down into “budget” and then I don’t care I have money kinda guys. The budget informed guys are buying from Fast Tech. So if you can’t compete with Fast Tech you can forget about them as customers and trust me you can’t compete. So forget the Informed “budget” vapers. At least for anything that isn’t emergency or impulse sales.

Informed Vapers who are not budget are going to want quality all the way and for the most part that is going to be AW IMR right now or eFest. Both are popular.

Then you have the uniformed Budget guys, these guys are going to walk in asking for the cheapest setup they can get. So you guys you can inform them and try and sell them quality or you can give them what they came in for and that will probably be crapfire batteries or Ego style all in one units.

To make it more complicated there are also a bunch of mods or PV’s personal vaporizers that use 18350 batteries.

The e-cig market is also very fast moving what is popular today will not be popular tomorrow.

I guess what I am saying is that there isn’t a one size fits all solution to this and it’s easy to get stuck with a bunch of inventory you can’t move.

I made mods and sold juice for a few years and made good money doing it for a while. I would suggest that he goes onto ECF which is “electronic cigarette forum” and read up on what is trending right now. Also he has to know his customers, are these people with money to blow?
