Picked up one of those $12 VOCOlinc bulbs from Amazon and put it in my bedside lamp. I love this thing! Easy setup, quick response, and I especially like that I can change the color temperature for different presets and brightness levels. I’ve got a ~5000k full-bright setting, a ~3500k relaxing low-mid setting, and a ~2700k setting at bare minimum brightness for bedtime. AND it’ll do pure red at minimum brightness for getting up to pee in the middle of the night.

I did goggle the voco, and it looks interesting, but seems to need the app and a alexa or siri or whatever. Meh.
Was hoping for a discrete controller like for those rgb light-strips.
I have a couple of the Cree smart bulbs, one on each side of my garage door. I like them, I can control the white color temp or any RGB color. Yes, I have to use their app to control them, but it works well. I can create a group and put the bulbs in that group so I can control them both. Even supports themes for holidays and cycles through the theme’s colors on both bulbs.
