in "flight"!
Ha! “The Giant Claw”!
Awesome flick…
The Giant Claw - I remember that one.
Monsters have gotten so much better with CGI, but there was something fun about clay, cardboard and wire.
All the Best,
Jeff
Well, if we are doing that….
Anyone else remember Mark Fidrych?
A lot of backstory is that the “monster” wasn’t even designed ’til mostway through the making of the movie. That’s why you only see a vague shadow passing on the ground, and people just looking up in horror. It wasn’t to create suspense, but because they had no monster designed!
And the actors thought it’d be the typische stop-action claymation type monsters, and were horrified and embarrassed when the film was released and that sock-puppet “monster” was revealed as the main villain.
On screening, when the audience broke out in hysterics every time the monster appeared on-screen, one of the guys behind the movie (gaah, forgot who) slinked out even before the movie ended, just in case anyone in the audience recognised him.
Btw, lookit the nonstop roasting “She-Hulk: Attorney At Law” is getting. It’s, like 2022?, and the “CGI” is so amateur and horrendous that it’s embarrassing. Even the chick’s face when in Hulk-mode looks like a screencap from a ’90s videogame.
I’d rather have the sock-puppet “Claw” monster…
Well, it's been almost eight days...
I declare myself da new Image Boss.
I'd like to see athletes in mid-air (as if they can fly), like this pic of Tony Hawk.
I really liked that Tony Hawk photo RC^
I grew up skatboarding and riding BMX.
Was never too great, but had a lot of fun.
Just recently sold my BMX to fund my new Emisars. And im just getting too out of shape and broken down too keep riding.
I can still ride a skateboard like second nature, but no tricks. Just a good stationary Ollie and Kicklflip/Heelflip that I cant put into motion.
Its all about the flashlights now lol.
Heres a photo of Eric Lichtenberger mid air.
I really respect this guys riding style.
Danny MacAskill … hard to pick just one:
Personally, I think it is hard to beat Danny MacAskill for the unique combination of
beautiful scenery, music, entertainment and of course the WTF ? moments….
e.g.

Thanks!
I used to be pretty good at Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 on the original PlayStation.
All of my friends at San Jose State University were skateboarders, and some of them were pretty good.
They played that videogame as well.
I tried to learn how to skate on a skateboard.
I fell, and I did not injure myself, but I decided that it wasn't for me.
I'm not super coordinated, and I don't like falling.
Ive spent so much of my life playing those games back when they came out. Id get the new one for Christmas or my birthday every year.
The last one I played was Underground 2 and didnt continue after that for some reason.
I kind of want to pick up an old PS2 and play them all again.
Ha, neither do I.
Fear of injury was always a big factor stopping me progressing with real skatebords.
But I could always ride one like I was born on it. Just no tricks

This pic is pretty impressive...
The new Image Boss is maniakman!
Thanks!
Alright…sticking with the “in the Air” theme … How about some cool pics of (wo)mankind’s quest to actually fly through the air via machinery?
“There is an art to flying, or rather a knack. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss.” - Douglas Adams.
