Looks like the same host as the MS08 but with these new CREE LEDs.
Slightly better lumen and throw rating than their R60C, which uses 6 Luminus SST70 LEDs.
On paper the CREE XHP50.3 HI LEDs look to be really good.
Even though the model number isn't an obvious progression, this light appears to be the replacement for the R60C. I'm surprised that they've decided to move away from the SST70's. I'm extremely impressed with my R60C and was hoping for an R80C with eight SST70's. My R60C is probably my favorite light. Let's hope this RS50 is a worthy replacement.

For the moment i don’t use XHP 50.3 HI so it’s only speculation
Just I hope no massive lumens at feet for self blinding and good throw for this model XHP 50.3 its would be bad O_0
On the vidéo the only “real” shot at 0:40 is a shot the most generous we can do with XHP50/70 in height with a bottom to avoid the blind camera
I agree with you it’s a RC60C with not AMERICAN LED but WORLD FAMOUS CREE LED and the high tech shields with fan no lockable.
Possibly better beam but I don’t think we buy this light for nice beam colors.
Last month I bought the R60C, the RT90 and the L17 Acebeam with green light.
The latter is the only one that makes me happy.
I also have the L18 and the L19, but they don’t fit in my pocket.
From now on, I will only buy what fits in my pocket.
And that I can carry without effort. No more holster flashlights for me either.
I turned 72 yrs old yesterday. And I can feel the weight of a gallon of milk now.
I hope my MS12 and my MS18 never fall down. I might not be able to pick ’em up.
Besides, I’ll be damned if I can see as far as 500 meters without glasses. Or binoculars.

Hey thanks for posting this! I just got back from a walk in some pitch dark woods with my new MS08. What a monster that thing is… but I did notice the lack of throw in some open areas. The heat shield is amazing - I let it run on turbo for half an hour and it barely got warm
I might go back to the same place with my MS18 and my Firefoxes FF5

I recently bought 4 Astrolux EC06s and combined them with a holder made for this purpose and with Vapcell T42 batteries I saw 107400 lumens at startup and 92000 lumens at 30 seconds, more than the MS18 I own with a smaller footprint and weight of about 2.5 kg including a small handle for transport and to avoid the considerable heat produced, this is to say that increasing the lumens is not a problem, much more problematic is to make a flashlight that launches far with a good amount of lumens, for this I much prefer launchers like RS50 over MS08. I would add that to get the perfect flashlight I would have used a LEP emitter in the center to increase the launch even more or I would have used 8 Luminus SFT40 LEDs.
Based on the recent PM thread that I’ve been having recently with Imalent I can see that this is part of the problem. I definitely don’t want to penalize them for their language skills. But unfortunately they were perfectly capable of sending me a very clear rude and angry message in English today, and they are obviously unwilling to read and follow the rules for commercial sellers. This is in stark contrast with the vast majority of non-English speaking commercial users on BLF, even those that I’ve had to send PMs to in order to remind them of the rules. So unfortunately this is simply a sign of an unethical and unscrupulous company. Buyer beware.

I’ve see yesterday 2 post (identical) on wrong forum section with edit for one 1:30 hours laters, but no major change, for RS50 and christmas promotion
I was surprised to that, i’m ok they can do error but but it’s really “strange”

I’m confused, reason i’ve only tell the christmas promotion on this thread and not on BudgetLightForum Deal Alerts.
Forum rules can’t give possibility to explain my point of wiew but you can look the history of the first opium wars for undestand the different perspectives of these two cultures or the resurgence continues and grows at the present time.
I have nothing against Imalent, I don’t think they are “scammer” but I agree decision to admin forum if they ban Imalent_official permanently because I can understand they think the rules aren’t for them.
