Imalent unveils R70C – R90C – MS12

TBH I’d prefer to sacrifice a little candela and graduate the hotspot into the spill a little more. Even though it had god awful petals the DT70’S hotspot isn’t that noticeable and it gives the impression of the DT70 being a lot brighter than 13000 lumens, it helps dissolve tint shift too.

You gotta do you, thats all you can ask for, i do both. Unboxing/Beam Shots…of course your are 20x better then mine…lol…but i just tell what i see…NO LIE…NO BS…just keep it 100.

I have to leave some bits out as my pc crashes a lot editing vids over 10 mins in 4K, things like unboxing and giving in-depth info about every item and showing off the holster have to go.
I love how Advanced knife bro does runtime tests for every * level, but this must take a lot of dedication and will be a huge ask off the batteries and torch. I do put a bit of faith in manufacturer’s claims, especially on water and drop ratings.

As I’ve paid for them, I’m not putting my X80-GT 30m under water and my MS12 won’t ever see rain!

Weird, did u try different web browsers for the videos? it shouldnt crash just take a longer time to load perhaps… yea the so called water proof ratings perhaps dont mean much as the manufacturers claim, like that olight x9r video guy dumped it in the pool for a few minutes it got alot of water inside the tailcap etc…. acebeam are funny they claim 30m waterproof but say not a diving light? hah…

my small olight baton lights i have put under water for many hours, nothing leaks in, i asume bigger lights its easier for water to come in ?

either way im curious now for test wars between the ms12 and x70 which shall be out later this month? let the lumen war begin

@Flashaholics, how about you just edit the video in a higher bitrate and then you upscale it to 4k?

LinusTechTips does this, and it helps out a lot with editing videos with lower end hardware, and you still get the added benefit of a higher quality video.

Also, I do think that the MS12 will be able to hold that brightness for longer since it’s using 20700s, which do have lower internal resistance than 18650s.

I’d have to try something if I got as many lights as Charles Bridgtec to review. I couldn’t possibly manage.

That said I used to just shine my light in the back yard, quickly edit and got 10,000 views. 2 hours max from beginning to end. Now I take up to 2 weeks (MF04) and get barely any views, people preferred quick raw vids.

Whether it’s Acebeam, Imalent, Olight or even BLF I hope the first 100,000 light isn’t as big as a cannon. I think the DX80 is a very reasonable size.

Used to be only a few doing reviews, now there are dozens and seems like every new light is getting reviewed over and over and over. I don’t have bandwidth to watch long high res reviews, so the video reviews I never watch even though one of my best friends does them all the time. I just get highlights from him. lol

Funny how all that works as I have some of the best 4K video equipment available and don’t use it. It is what it is I guess.

i took some throw measurements

Ceiling bounced the MS12 against an Acebeam X45 as the beam patterns were very close in size. I programmed the Lux app to read 15,000 at turn on for the X45 and the MS12 measured 53,000 at turn on bang on!!!

Against the DX80 set to read 30,000 the MS12 measured 43,000 but the MS12 has wider spill than the DX80 so of course it will read lower due to a lot of light being further from the Light sensor.

Impressive.

The grammar and design on the box is terrible.

Glad you got it…i love mine…cant wait for your video.

banggood and Neal have stock..

Thanks for the update. I should received an email shipping notice soon then.

I’m glad it works, I got it out of the box and dropped it straight on a concrete floor.

Power button is still a PITA to find in the dark!!!

Imalent!!!

Thats sweet man…def ship soon…hell yeah…

Butter fingers??lol…glad it works…i didnt drop mine…it is hard…wish it lit up.but not a big deal to me.

Banggood shipped out the ms12.

FFS it fell 5 foot off some ladders and hit concrete again. The bezel is bent in badly but it’s still working!!!

SWEEEEEET man…im glad it did.

Your dropped it again? Use the strap man…lol

how is the grip? a light this heavy it would be good if they did something like olight on x9r, fake leather and special grip on the back, feels impossible to even have it slip out even using one hand…
