That thread (Cree XHP70 up to 4022 Lumens and XHP50 up to 2546 lumens - Multi-die leds.) is really interesting, it’s what I was looking for. It does show that the XHP70 can irradiate much more than current single cell flashlights do.
That’s what the thread above shows. Of course this is only relevant for turbo mode. In the announcement the DN70 is better (waiting for the reviews to see how much it really does) but even if true could be significantly more…
Is it possible to have at least 5klm in turbo? Current batteries can do 20A continuous, so this doesn’t seem to be a limiting factor. Are there boot drivers that can reach ~10A in the output? Do they fit in a light of the size of DN70 or R50?
