Industrial Bronze "Retro" finish

Just saw this today on the net, thought it looked pretty cool

I received an email about it from andrew-amanda.com.

but this site had the better photos of it:

I think it would look better with a “road worn” black colored bezel instead of the bright stainless.

That is good looking, rather like the ‘oil slick’ finish used by McGizmo or another custom light maker.

Looks like a good color for Steam Punk. I don’t really like it, though, personally. I prefer shiny real metals and/or flat black or the occasional nice color (blue, red mostly). The “gold” “copper” “bronze” and other colors of “metal” are not for me.

Brass with the right patina method would give a similar result.
I tried vinegar fumes that give some dark coloring with a green hint. Scrub it with some steel wool to get rid of it and you have a sweet aged brass finish.
The bronze effect could be achieved with gun bluing maybe, and some stonewashing after that ?
