Inexpensive oscilloscope?

There is a brand new
Rigol DHO 800
starts at $300
(I know it is way over your wanted price)
EevBlog Dave Jones has a review

I got this one and it is fairly decent for the price. It has a TRMS voltmeter that accurately reads very close to my Fluke. The scope function will automatically show the P-P voltage. And unlike some other cheap battery powered scopes, the internal battery can be replaced (I think it is a 18650, but I haven’t opened it up to confirm). I got it on Prime Day for $60, so it may drop a little cheaper than the current price during the upcoming October Amazon sales event.

Wow, that’s the nicest small scope/meter I’ve see.
Battery powered - so there is no chance of a neutral-ground-mains short (as long as the charger is no plugged in).
Normal - I think - BNC for the probe.
68 Bucks? Shut up and take my money…
All the Best,
Jeff

The probe connection is a regular BNC. The probe it comes with is decent quality with 1x/10x switch and is safety shrouded. The shroud is important so you don’t get shocked when handling the scope while it is connected.

You get what you pay for. I bought one of those Kaiweets DMM on Amazon. Looks nice but 5 years later the whole thing is dry rotting.

I also have a Fluke 179 for 20+ years now. Still works and looks like new.

$67 on Amazon or $55 (free shipping) at the Official Aliexpress store: https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256805295077355.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.5.3dee1802S73IAu&gatewayAdapt=glo2usa

Sounds mediocre at best. For $65 more than acceptable.
