After I got an email from Dinodirect, telling me that after I post a review on BLF, I could get a free coupon,
I thought I will try to write my first little review..
As you can see, Im pretty new to flashlights, and would try to explain the (working of) the flashlight from my own perspective. Very inexperienced!
First,
Today I received my Ultrafire UF-H2 from the Groups buy here on BLF (after receiving2 emails, 1 on the 22nd , and a final reconfirming of shipment on the 25th. )
That means it took less than a week to get here to Japan!
I have to admit that my first purchase from DinoDirect is satisfying.
After opening the envelope, I found a purple box.. (all my other flashlights I received were only in plastic bubble wrapping, except the solarforce which came in a plastic package)
Opening the box, the light actually fell on the table as it wasnt really sitting firmly in the box, but to my surprise it looks even much better than on the pictures from the Net.
When I put in an eneloop battery, it felt really nicely in my hand. Not too heavy, and not too light.
As I said, it looks much better than from the pictures on the Net..
Also I was a bit surprised at the size! Its small!!
Not negative to me.
Its about 9cm long.
I couldnt figure out how to get this light attached onto the headband, but I guess I have to remove the clip first!?
Its pretty bright on a nimh.. I havent tried a 14500 yet.. And im a bit scared to do that as well, as i really like this headlamp so far, and dont want to end up with this fried.
Dont know what the little B stands for??
Its very floody! nice for walking and hiking!
Build quality is really good! I think I can give it 5 stars..
Output is pretty good.. I thought it could be a bit brighter on an eneloop.. ? 4 stars
Shipping is also 5 stars
Price is 5 stars!!! my best buy for 16dollars so far!
I liked the ramping brightness. I had to try it a few times, but I can get it pretty dim. And also bright as well.
The SOS function is maybe useful for emergencies.. I dont care so much.
Memory is nice as well.. After setting it really dim, after turning off and on, its again on the same setting.
Finally wanted to take the battery out, and the battery was sticking to the spring..
HUH!!! its magnetic.
I tried to put the light against my fridge, and it definitely sticks pretty well!
Thats a very nice feature.
Can anybody confirm that this is not bad for the battery?!?
Also I think I read that the battery slowly drains in this headlamp...
Which I actually dont like so much..
Maybe I can just unscrew the cap a bit, so it doesnt have a connection?
After all,. my first experience with DinoDirect so far is positive.. So far!
I know that other people have had less positive experience with them, but I can only tell what I personally know.
For the pictures I used a TL lamp, with a white sheet of paper as a background.. and Im pretty happy with the outcome!
