Today I am taking a look inside the Wuben factory in China to see how flashlights are made.
Thank you Edison, Mr Tan and Wuben for being extremely welcoming and for the opportunity.

Wow! Great Video
Thanks for educating me about Wuben being the maker of the Prometheus Beta… (I thought it was Olight, after darksucks stopped working with Lumintop)…
Also thanks for confirming ReyLight now uses Wuben manufacturing (the original ReyLight Copper AAA Tool was built by Lumintop).
Lots of A1 parts. Amazing that it sells in those numbers.
Great video, thanks for the insight!
I think Wuben did OEM for Rey and Justin 3-5 years ago. They might be using different OEMs now for new products.
It was a pleasant surprise. Mr Tan (head engineer at Wuben) said that he worked on the design of some ReyLight flashlights.
I’ll finish writing up a blog post about the visit and publish it next week.
Wow, that was really cool. Thanks for sharing!
What other brands are they the OEM for? Interesting to know who makes what for whom
An amazing video TimMc!
Someone needs to lose that red Loctite.
Awesome!
Welcome to BLF!
Welcome Edison
really enjoyed seeing your Wuben Factory Tour.
And thanks for hosting Tim, he is a great guy, and has been very helpful to me.
Thank you both!
Edison and Wuben have been so welcoming.
1 hour drive to pick me up at the airport around 2pm (delayed flight so waited longer…). Greeted me with an iced latte. 1.5 hour drive to the factory. Ordered lunch and had it at the factory. Walked around the factory. 1.5 hour drive to Wuben HQ. Met the boss and staff. Drove to dinner with 20-30 staff. 1 hour drive to a hotel.
I’ll publish a blog post to do it some justice.
Such a positive vibe. Very awesome! : - )
I am impressed by Wuben’s designs. Not only are they thinking outside the box (or maybe inside in their case, LOL) but their sustained brightness and runtimes are industry leaders! My X1 is hands down my favorite flooder.
I had no idea that Wuben is the manufacturer of so many brands.
Also, I was happy to see the Quality Control section.
Now that is what I call flashlight porn. Great video.
Wow great video, thanks for sharing! Was really interesting to see the different areas and processes.
