I had two packages today from DD, each containing a Tank007 E-09.
One of the envelopes had been cut open 2 inches from the end through four layers of invoice but not through the back of the envelope. The Invoice had been taken out as there was a further tear in the paper almost dividing the invoice in three separate parts.
The envelope cut was closed again with a piece of ‘CHINA POST’ tape:
4 layers of invoice:
Happily, the light was intact in its metal box.
I have seen chinese axes used to cook but never for opening a letter.
The other package was untouched but the metal box inside had a larger dent.
Thanks, China Post!
I doubt it was China Customs. Customs wouldn’t cut it open down the middle like that. It was either ripped up in the machinery or slit open for theft inspection. The tape would have been applied by the repairs section. Customs really doesn’t care much what goes out (that’s for the receiving customs) but what comes in.
Having worked at the biggest post office in Canada for thirty seven years I have pretty good insite on the matter, having worked shoulder to shoulder with customs and in repairs.
