“Tony”?
have a look at their catalog
I saw “catalogue” so went for the .pdf, and… nothing.
Videos, eh? K.
Sorry, I meant catalogue, yes the PDF. Hint: last page
I saw the first (camp) and last (bike) videos, and honest to B’harni (pbuh!) couldn’t deal with the narrator anymore. Dewd sounds like he’s on the verge of a stroke, and not the good kind, either.
So back to the catalogue…
Oh, the old dewd? Microprint on this screen (laptop), so had to zoom the shiite out of it to see his nametag.
I feel taken.
Such mystery generated in such a short comment… All to find I searched for - and downloaded the catalogue - to find a dad joke.
And I’M the guy who normally does that to everyone else!
“Ezekiel”?
Thanks a lot for the recommendation with Anduril. We will look into this topic.
We have a development on esp32 chip. It is a flashlight with wifi to connect to flashlight modes, and completely change their operation.
We have also learned how to transmit information with the flashlight to a distance of 3km. We want to make light walkie-talkies.
In order to continue these developments, we need to start selling current models.
You are welcome!
Sounds amazing! I myself have quite some experience with the ESP8288/ESP32 line of MCUs and have developed a number of projects with them, one of which is on Github: GitHub - DurvalMenezes/esp8266-iperf: iperf client/server network performance benchmarking program for the ESP8266
Just FYI, Anduril currently runs on AVR ATTiny MCUs. But given that it’s written in C, I don’t think it would be too hard to port it to the ESP MCUs since they too count with very competent GCC compilers and toolchains.
As you’re using a ESP32 (whose radio isn’t restricted to wifi), have you considered using Bluetooth? IME it’s easier to interact with using a phone app.
That’s even more amazing! But then the flashlights would have to have some kind of light sensor too, in order to receive the light-encoded signals from each other.
Folks, you heard the man… let’s start buying them lights!
Thinking of getting the BX5 and BX6 but I have a couple questions:
-
For the special wholesale/distributor pricing, do these flashlights come with batteries? It sort of implies it does and the regular product lineup seems to include batteries.
-
What’s the CCT of the BX5 and BX6? From the videos they appear maybe 6500k but I’m not sure.
We used a smartphone camera to read the data using morse code.
We plan to add a camera to the flashlight to read this data.
But the first priority is to change modes and remotely control the flashlight.
Wifi was chosen because it doesn’t lose data. Bluetooth loses data, so it is not well suited for this.
To use bluetooth we need to install the camera directly into the flashlight. The flashlight will then read and decode the data autonomously and then transmit the data to the smartphone.
- We supply flashlights always with batteries.
- You’re right. The color temperature is 6500k.
How did you solve the signal problem? I looked into bluetooth chipsets before, and since the body tube is the negative for the battery, it makes it almost impossible to get any kind of external signal without an external antenna.
Yeah, We used an external antenna
one idea: try by keeping the bezel electrically insulated from the rest of the flashlight (eg, fully anodized threads) and then using it as the antenna. Not perfect (hard to tune, etc) but should work for Ghz-range communications like Bluetooth and Wifi, at least if the phone is less than a dozen meters or so away.
Thanks for the idea. We want to make a small channel in the metal where there will be an antenna inside the plastic. Like apple did on the iphone 6.
It wasn’t lightning quick but I happily announce the order has shipped.
now long waiting
You said you wanted the honest truth.
I think you should promote the merits of your lights. Silly advertisements wont get you more sales.
Hate to be the bearer of bad news but with Convoy and Wurkkos at the low end, Acebeam and Fenix at the high end, and about 1000 brands in the middle, you are really gonna need more than a cheap advertisement to survive.
I wish you the best of luck but take a minute and look at the Wurkkos lineup. They pretty much cornered the market.
The TS10 (informally) won top spot two years in a row. Its $12 on sale, its a 1400 lumen triple, and comes with Andruil 2.0. There is nothing on the planet that can beat it right now.
