Saw these at my local Costco (Canada).
I thought the size and shape was/is remarkably similar to the DBSAR/Sofirn lantern.
Maybe coincidence. Maybe I’m seeing things.
PS. I got my BLF lantern a week ago. And because its maybe been 30 seconds since the last time someone on BLF has said this…
I friggin love it!
The LT1 was inspired by other lanterns that came before it too, there’s not a lot you can do with the form if you want the performance characteristics these two probably share.

I agree with what you say. Maybe it’s a kind of convergent evolution. Thought it was interesting though.
Realized the photos didn’t show the price. They were $19.99 for anyone curious.
Wait, disposable batteries are still a thing? Nasty.

No not really, bought a similar one last year that takes C batteries.
If it had Anduril, yes…

Not a threat to the LT1 in the least. Looks like they come with duraleaks to begin with.
If duraleak cells are used the lights won't be around long anyway...

I picked up one of these about 12 years ago so the idea has been around a while. I’ve also got a larger version that is even older.
