i received today my Supbeam X60 and it was really a surprise and i like to share some pictures with you . from pictures into the site wasn’t looking so big! in reality is huge !
It came into a nice aluminum case silver and black color nicer than the K40 case that is shiny silver ! with all accessories (batteries 2600mah also included) charger, usb ,car adapter! ( crazy lithium ion battery aviation rules and was shipped like dangerous goods , the box was full of stickers ) lol
i order it a long time before was released and been manufactured may am from the first ones that i receive it!
( excuse me if i post it wrong this is my first post with pictures)
What is the UI like? Is there an off/standby mode with the control ring, or does it have to be turned on via tailcap and is always on after that like the X40?
the interface is similar to x40 but not like the k40 . there’s no standby mode on the magnetic ring . is only 10lmns and variable brightness ! you have to switch it on and off from the tail-cap ! its easy to control the ring with one hand if your glove is XL but again you need 2 hands to switch it completely off!
That's definitely a strike against them. I prefer to be able to operate a light one handed, and having to turn it off via the tailswitch every time is a minus.
10 lumens is also far from being a moonlight mode.
i still like the variable brightness ,10lms with so big reflector and 5 leds i think is ok! for people prefer a flashlight that is full operational with one hand are not going for the X60 but this is going to be a small minus into overall structure of the light ! a matter of taste as always!! most probably in the future there going to update the variable magnetic ring with a standby mode!
Wow! Great pics of a great look'n light! I don't see this listed anywhere to buy, accept maybe those 6 sole distributors they have listed... 5,000 lms stock without a turbo timeout is nice!
yes there is a shoulder strap i didn’t picture it but i think you can spot it somewhere into the pictures! personally i dont like it! especially when you need to attached a metal ring into the anodizing !!
