Is there any knife brand which is similar to Convoy in flashlights?

Civivi / Sencut

Some Kershaw
Some CRKT

I know its a free country but this question and entire thread in general cannot possibly produce any meaningful information. The question is vague and the number of possible answers is infinite and highly subjective.

You are right @zoulas. There is no Convoy similar brand in the knives world. Knives and flashlights are not the same.

But I have learn a lot, about steel types, about brands, and I think that I will start with a morakniv companion in stainless steel.

Thanks a lot to all that shared their knowledge with me!

I have discovered some knives that seem very interesting. I would have never known about them had I not read about them here. I am grateful to the OP and those that have replied for getting the information out there.

Information is only valuable if its accurate.

Inaccurate information can lead to false and misleading results.

They have a 14C28N Steel, Axis Lock, Tanto with G10:

Been buying from these guys for years.
Although not during these tariff times.
Shipping takes a while, but I’ve received every order I submitted.

$15 with 11/11 discounts:

As previously mentioned, the first brand that comes to mind it Opinel- I recommend one with an olive wood handle, because it smells like olive oil!

Which is why, I hope, most folks will do some double checking before spending their money…

But this is not pertinent only to this thread - same applies to flashlights or anything else.

Great that it’s come down to two of the most successful knives of all time, a Mora Companion and the humble Opinel

The closest thing to the mix&match approach of Convoy You can get in the knife market is Spyderco with their multiple versions of particular models (as in there were over 90 variations of the Paramilitary model for example, with different handle materials and colors and different steels). But they aren’t budget for sure. You still get a lot of knife for the money and their customer service is really good in the US, but they can’t compare on pure value with the chinese brands when compared like to like.

Though they are basically the only production company that let’s You try so many different steels. Most others work with just a few while Spyderco produced knives in almost every steel that makes sense in cutlery

I was today in Walmart and purchased a Ozark Trail Valor. 20$

Have you seen the Kershaw clones on AliX?

I grabbed the Leek and a Launch last month just to check them out… They’re essentially indistinguishable if not for the shoddy pamphlet.

I don’t remember looking for Kershaw knives on AE.
I did get two Kershaw knives from DHgate years ago.
Those two knives seemed just as real as my other (real) Kershaw knives. :slightly_smiling_face:

Not AliExpress but Thai Lazada. I bought a small ‘Kershaw’. The price was good. Looked ok when it arrived with the Kershaw box, laser logo and all.

There was just a little difference in I think screw head or colour or something else. Out of curiosity I emailed the picture of it to Kershaw, and the answer was it’s probably not theirs.

I asked the seller, suggesting it may be a counterfeit. The answer was the funniest: ‘yeah, what did you expect for $10?!’.

Okay, I looked a few Kershaw clones on AE.
I noticed that they don’t have the model number on the blade (or at least in the AE pics) like real Kershaw knives.
I’m not against buying clones if the clones are good enough, so I’ll look at AE some more.
Thanks for the heads-up! :+1:

EDIT:
I asked ChatGPT about Zero Tolerance 0350 clones, and I think I’ll pass on those.
Other clones might be good enough, though. :upside_down_face:

I think they photoshop out the logos on the pics you see in the listings.

Makes sense. :+1:

The flipper action is what blew me away. It’s as good, if not better, than Kershaw’s.
