Is there such a thing as a mouth grip / guard?

I have a bunch of Convoy S2s, S2+ sized flashlights (single 18650s).

I typically put it in my mouth while working with my hands.

I really shouldn’t do that - metal against my already beat up teeth.

Does anyone know of a mouth piece or something that the flashlight would slide into and my teeth would be rubbing against rubber or soft materials?

And I wonder about the saliva on the tail switch can’t be good ; )

Are there other ways you recommend for hands free use of smaller flashlights?

Put a couple of layers of heat shrink on the back of the light.

Warp the tail in tape would be my solution.

Maglite made for the 2xAA a mouthpiece I haven’t seen that for 18650.

There are universal headbands for 18650 with a rubber loop.

I would go with an L-Shaped light. You can clip that to your jacket front pocket.
And they come often with a headstrap, which I seldom use. Clipping in front of my clothes is often enough.

Thanks! the shrink tubing idea made me think of going to Home Depot. They have the spools of flexible plastic tubing by the foot. I wonder if the ID of one of those would work!

Oh, and the shrink tubing makes me wonder about putting it in your mouth for a while…. what chemicals are in there that get it to shrink / is it food safe?

Yeah, dat just nasty. Naaaaaaaasty.

Headlamps are way better than licking off all the pocket-lint and fæcal matter that collects on those sorts of things.

If you have a push on pocket clip can you turn it around so it sticks out the back?

Of all the holes in your body your mouth should be the last one used to hold a flashlight. If you used an angled light you might be able to use, no that’s no good either. Don’t put it in any of your holes.

Flashlight + holes = bad.

I often carry a lightweight angled light and bite the pocket clip.

Always having a headband around just isn’t realistic, and there’s never a ferrous surface to stick the light to where I need it.
