I ordered the Nitecore SRT6 from Banggood on September 26th. It was shipped on October 4th.
I waited and waited and according the tracking number, the package arrived to Finland somewhere around early November.
I kept on waiting thinking it would arrive any day, but came December and still no package…
I contacted BG and asked about it. And as usual they told me to ask from local post office, if they hid it or something… :~
I didn’t want to open any Paypal disputes, because I thought that matters can be solved between me and BG.
And then all of the sudden BG informed me that the package was returned to them and then they agreed to refund it.
But not the way I have usually been refunded by other vendors, but just sending me a normal Paypal-payment, from which I had to pay fees to Paypal.
The fee was less than 4 dollars, but IMO, I wasn’t supposed to pay anything, since I never even received the package and it was returned to BG.
So, no big bucks involved, but just a matter of principal to me…
PayPal allows 60 days after original payment to arrange the refund, so sending usual payment is the only way to refund after 60 days have passed.
Nevertheless, I think the seller could have paid the fee by itself - PayPal allows that.
But again, this depends on why the package was returned.
Yeah, I would also like to know why the package was returned, since I have 2 more shipments on the way from BG and hopefully they won’t be returned!
Since I buy from Chinese free shipping site I never had to use PayPal dispute. I only used it for eBay purchase and back then it was not for Chinese sellers.
I had package that get lost for 90 days other 60 days, too late for a dispute, all were refunded with in store credit (dealextreme) or PayPal and it wasn’t me that paid the fee (fasttech with their battery shipping problem). Sometimes they take a week to answer but in the end it always ended in my favor.
Sometimes vendor asked if I wished the same item to be resent with another route.
