Got my charger yesterday. Updated FW to latest. One major issue is some programs restarts after finish. I did number of tests with very good Eneloops AA and some junk no-name AA NiMh, and some half-decent old Turnigy AAAs . Powered by 5V, 2A and I tried another brand 5V, 2A power supply with same results.
So program ends, I can briefly see the “flag” (“finished”) icon, then charger acts as if I have just inserted cell again - it beeps, suggests last used program, and after several seconds starts it.
Two modes I tested that keep restarting and never end:
- Analyze mode for NiMh. I saw maybe 5 times when this mode restarted - for 10 cells in total. And one time I had three cells - slots 1, 3 and 4. Slot 1 restarted, slot 3 and 4 completed without restart.
- Discharge mode for NiMh. Several time this mode restarted, one time completed and did not restart.
One mode that doesn’t restart:
- Charge mode for NiMh.
Can someone with recent FW check this? I want to understand if it’s FW bug or my device is faulty. Maybe I need to flash previous version of firmware… Will try tomorrow.
P.S. There are also minor issues, screensaver won’t activate when programs are running and sometimes graphs won’t update and show voltage that doesn’t change (while it’s clearly changes), two times I removed a cell and it reset programs for all slots with inserted cells.
