At first glance, it is very good except for the slots. When charging at high power, the fan sounds like a cheap hair dryer.
At the moment I’ve got it charging 2 AA at 900mA. Can’t hear the fan now.
Only one 26650 slot. 1 26650 and 1 18650 might work. 2 x 18650 will work. Some protected cells may not fit.
This charger is best for 4x AA and 2x 18650.
My C4 is done charging a 26650. About a minute later, I checked the battery with a DMM. The battery came off the charger at 4.210V
I just checked my meters against a 2.5000 reference.
FWIW the battery is a black and gold LiitoKala 5000mAH
Short update.
The C4 is very good for charging pairs of 18650 cells quickly.
I’ve tried a few charge cycles at 2A and 3A.
IF that is what you need, this charger is worth a second look.
Flat top and button top 18650s work fine. I’ve got one one each in the charger at the moment. Trying out the analsis cycle.
I haven’t tried any protected button top 18650s yet. The only ones I have in the house are in my Q8.
I’ve got some protected 26650s to try too.
There is a firmware update availble. I haven’t looked at it yet. Maybe tonight after crossfit.
My biggest complaint so far is that it can only charge 1 26650. I would have gladly sacrificed the AAA or even the AA slots.
Fan is still annoying. It doesn’t run at lower power levels.
As expected, protected batteries do not fit.
