but I would prefer integrated with the light rather than futzing about with another connection.
This type would work well
but so cheap I doubt the light itself is great, also looking for more sturdy durable longevity.

the light is discontinued It’s a total bad gimmick light . That was kind of my point .
The goose neck light you posted is kind of like the ikea clamp lights . They are actually quite nice since they run an older desirable high cri osram led .
I kept finding them at the local thrift store for a buck so I have spares . I think they’ve changed leds a few times because mine isn’t what you’d call bright . I’m guessing 30-40 lumens and 4000k
The heads are shaped like the one in this video. .

mostly clones and rebuilds - wow the new batteries are pricey!!
So this ROVER Clamping Flood Light is of interest
lowest setting is 500lm though, and no beam adjustment, I think overkill maybe?
there is a replacement LED head kit though 
By the way, this also seems to work, and it’s easier for me to remember.

Klein Tools 56029 Clamping Worklight looks OK found for $13 delivered, worth a shot 
But I sure love the (idea of the) M18, huge as it is - super clamp takes two hands. Apparently the HO batt paks are too deep or something, the OG XC 5.0 are the ones to use.
