I don’t feel so bad now our forecast is only calling for mid 30’s for the next couple of weeks

It’s gonna get really hot today! lol Guess the cold front got scared and ran away. Usually gets hottest between 4 and 6 so we’ve got a ways to go yet. Just got back from the lake, got smart and went from 10-12 to beat the worst of it. Time for some BBQ sandwiches and ice cold watermelon, yeah baaaaby!
When I soak my head, all the wet hair keeps me cooler longer. I can feel it when it dries out as I get hotter right away. Time for another dunking. I wish I could fit in that blasted bucket.

As a young kid wanting my bike to go faster the local tuner suggested I shave my head. The bike didn’t run any better at all and being the middle of winter had to buy a hat. I never listened to a tuner again.
It’s hotter than fishgrease over here.
After yesterday, it’s also easy to believe! And y’all have intense humidity as well, yuck!
For sure, stay hydrated. Plenty of water. Remember, alcohol in any form is dehydrating. We sure don’t need our peeps falling out, with so much fun darkness looming right after the heat!

Yesterday at around 11 pm I went out to water the garden and replenish some of the soil’s moisture lost during the day, I noticed that there were almost no bugs around, no mosquitoes or moths, barely anything flying around the porch lights, did the heat scare them away?
