I live in Porterville, California, and it's gonna be kinda hot.
Here's the ten-day forecast:
Don't worry 'bout us. It's (usually) a dry heat. ;)

that high?
Heh, try the forecast for Phoenix, AZ. Supposed to be like 119-120 on Friday…
you could be living in Delano.
Working outside on the south side of a house all next week. Gonna be dunking head and shirt every 1/2 hour. Hottest weather I’ve had to work in was 113. That was brutal. The next day, we decided to knock off if it got to 110. 109, so close.
My, that is hot! What is that in Celsius?
The forecast for Sunday is 42° Celsius...
(that doesn't sound too bad) :)
...and that equates to 315 Kelvin! :X
Here we are lucky to see 32°. It rained yesterday too. ;_;
32 degree would be the heat record here…
If if this weather forecast does not get you in a summer feeling, I don’t know what will… :Sp
15°C = 59°F
Chloe, guess where the worst rainy clouds are headed once they are done with UK?
Moving clouds
Should have combined the weather here and in OP. Should be a decent combination…
Pffff. 98* with 84% RH is worse. At least in the desert sweating still works, down here you can't tell the sweat from the condensation.
And maybe the worst of all is at night, when RH goes to 100% but the temp still hovers in the mid 80s.
When the humidity is always above 50, and typically about 80 this weather kinda sucks. I myself if I’m working outside prefer fall weather, where it’s about 55 degrees. But if I’m doing something like biking to the Y, 60 is good.
I went to the phoenix area for a couple years during spring vacation. IT WAS TORTURE! Sure, once the sun went down everything cooled off. But who wants to wait for that everyday, you can’t even see anything. I remember it usually being 80’s and 90’s. The most fun day I ever had in Arizona was when I went to Sliderock Park. The water was 52 degrees, but you could still stay in for 20 or 30 minutes easily.
I lived in England as a small boy and 20C is just fine by me, I’m just not put together for heat(or humidity).

LOL, that’s what my son said today when I told him about the Phoenix, Vegas, and Death Valley (129) forecasts.
You should paint it flat black… it will radiate heat MUCH better…
I snapped a pic of my dashboard thermostat today when it said 120°…. In beautiful Phoenix, AZ :weary:
“but its a dry heat”
so is an oven, but i dont want to live in one,
But then again, that’s normal. 2 years ago we had 100 days of 100, that’s over 3 months of 100 every stinking day! IIRC the hottest was 116º. (new record for the summer, the 100 days over a 100 thing) We went to New Mexico to shoot a wedding and left at 3 in the morning, it was 86º and I sweated profusely just getting the stuff in the truck…at 3 AM! At Ruidoso New Mexico it stayed in the low 80’s with a breeze, man it felt like there was an Air Conditioner blowing on us everywhere we went! And those folks were complaining about how hot it was!!
It’s been over 100º all week, with humidity around 40%. Supposed to get a “cold front” this weekend that should keep it in the mid 90’s. I’ve got to dig out that jacket….
