I may not have the most exclusive eye for it, but I don't see terribly low image quality.
I see a limited depth of field. That's not a bad thing and is often intentional.
What is obvious is pretty strong chromatic aberration. My understanding is modern cameras correct for that (processing) on lenses they recognize, but it can't recognize what you add on the other end. Can possibly be corrected in software.
Nice macro-shots.
Sticking an extra lens (the front lens from an old Fuji camera) in front of my (compact-) camera is how I succesfully made many insect pictures in the past.

Yes the +10 close focus filter curves so much that IQ is lost towards the edges .
Usually something like a +4 close focus filter works really well , but you would need a close focus lens to start with .
All good fun to be sure .
