Jelly Smith – Beam Stand | Handmade Wood Display Stand for Flashlights

Beam Stand – Solid Wood Display Stand

I collect custom titanium and brass lights. I made this because nothing on the market treated them the way they deserved. Metal stands scratch. Plastic feels wrong. A solid wood block was the only answer that made sense.

Each stand is cut from a single block of imported wood - Ash or Walnut, hand-selected for grain. Shaped and sanded by hand through every stage. The cradle is deep enough to hold the light securely, open enough that you can look straight down at the emitter and identify it at a glance. When you own several lights that look nearly identical from the side, that small detail matters.

Pass on that

Cool idea. I wonder if you could somehow make it modular with magnets, to build on itself with an alternating spacing?

For this piece, I really wanted to focus on the sleekness and the display angle to showcase the custom flashlight in the best possible. I put a lot of work into hand-finishing those curves. That’s a cool idea, though. I’ll definitely look into how I can make that work.
