Just got an email from LAZERPOINT

Naw, its called information from 1st hand. XD

My first email to LP has resulted in them asking me to jump a couple hoops - take a pic of the packaging and forward to them. I may do this out of courtesy, even though they should be fully aware of the C3/12-LED situation by now. Any further dilly-dallying and I will go to Paypal (which is perhaps what I should have done to start with... slap me).

Slap! :)

Yep you wasted quite some energy in vain. Since many got the same 12 led spledor instead of the SS C3 i went to paypal rightaway since there was nothing more to expect from the seller.

Both folcal price, lazerpoint and discovery bargain never got a exemplary reputation, we might just avoid them. DB might be only good if you really can't get those rarer knives others do not carry.

I know, silly me... I will tell you, though, that I've had perfect success with Focal and DB on knife purchases - about 5 for 5 with each vendor. Though apparently, my luck ran out with LP on this flashy.

I got my C3 today for $5 bucks and change, so somebodies complaining on here paid off for me, thanks guys. It has a green clicky modes go med, low, high, strobe, SOS, 98mm length, a Q5 and an OP reflector. I will be putting an R5 in this since it pulls 1.7amps on a 14500. Thanks again for the heads up on the great deal and sorry to everyone that got screwed.

When did you order it?

I wish i got 3 of those. :/

I ordered it on the 18th or 19th.

I wish I would have ordered a half of dozen at that price.

Me too. I sent them a picture this morning; it seems like a reasonable request. We'll see how the process goes. It would be great if they would send a real C3, but I'm thinking they will offer a 10% refund, a store credit, or make me send the light back to them. Pretty much anything less than a full refund or a C3 will result in a PayPal dispute.

I wonder how much it would cost to send the pos light back to China? If it was cheap enough, I might accept a swap for a C3.

When DiscoveryBargain sent me the wrong knives, they asked for photos of the knives and the packaging. I sent them photos on May 22nd, and they have ignored me ever since. After a while, I opened a PayPal dispute and later I escalated it to a claim. I find it very rude to ask for photos and then do absolutely nothing after receiving said photos. |(

Ignore this DB:

LP sent an e-mail saying I would get a full refund in the next couple of days. Then I got a notice from PayPal of the refund. So they did what they were supposed to do without me having to go to PayPal! And I get a free useless light. I don't think it will be good even for parts.

Same thing happened to me...got the UV light, sent an email, they requested pics, which I sent, and they offered a refund. Rather have the C3 of course, but at least I'm out nothing.

Ditto for me.

I just checked it and it is not even good for money checking. must be 390+ nm. The only useful thing from it might be the tailcap oring. Lens is plastic, this thing is also direct drive so no driver to scavenge. Host is useless. Better keep it stock and give it to one who will annoy you for lending him a uv light.

Yes, I just did the same thing and was suprised that if was a UV light. Interesting. It's the only one I own of that variety so at least I won't throw it away. I just tried it on some US currency and it does light the UV strip up. It might not be up to the standards of other lights or lights that you are familiar with but it works for me.

I got a full Refund. I explained the situation and did not mention Paypal.

Today got the refund.

Well I'm very happy with the customer service.

Got a free light as well. nice.

I also got a full refund on the second mail. I provided a picture à la DX-style and posted a link to this thread and also mentioned a possible Paypal case/claim. Maybe a bit overkill, but I didn't want to play too much email ping-pong. They were a little confused about the coupon I used, so I had to explain them their own coupon system...lol. I am happy with their reaction overall, but I have absolutely no use for an UV-light.

Again a typo? - This time from their parent.

It does not say Cree XRE.

Could be like last time with lazerpoint.com, which sent out cheap lights. Email them to ask the what the LED is.
