Anyone else paid for expedited shipping for urgent project but kaidomain is using international economy instead?
Never purchased anything from them, but this doesn’t sound good. Did you try to contact them about it? The least they owe you is a refund and an apology.
I tried to contact them about order replacement and reordering options but they aren’t responding. Contacting again about shipment probably won’t make any difference.
Kaidomain and aliexpress is the only source of SST-20 with copper MCPCB. It’s hard to tell which seller is legitimate on aliexpress.
I for one won’t ever buy from AliExpress, they themselves (regardless of seller) are sleazy and dishonest and generally suck BIG TIME (ask me why and I will be happy to send you pointers to my bad experiences with them).
But Kaidoman, on the other hand, has (or at least used to have) a good reputation here in BLF; I just checked and @BanL (one of their owners/employees) is here in BLF, albeit haven’t logged since June. Perhaps you can try and PM him/her here?
However this turns out, please let us know; I hope they will respond and make good on their mistake, but if they don’t, at least your story will serve as a cautionary tale for us all and for whoever comes a-googling.
KD has always been slow for me, whether it’s responding to emails, processing and shipping out, whatever. I try not to buy from them if I can just because I find it very annoying dealing with a company like this that moves so slow. Unfortunately they stock certain things you can’t find elsewhere, so it is what it is I guess.
They suddenly responded about order replacement saying that they already shipped out the order before I sent email.
The oreder was placed on 29/09/2023 and the inquiry about order replacement was started on 30/09/2023. The order was shipped only on 10/10/2023 due to National Holiday.
And no answer yet about shipping the slower and cheaper way when you paid extra for the faster shipping?
They’re on AliExpress under a store called LHT… something (IIRC.)
I’ve found buying off their AliExpress store results in faster shipping (to Australia.) I’ve never had something not arrive, but some items have taken a while. I’ve never used express shipping.

The order gets processed much more quickly when going through their AliExpress store.

I’ve only ordered from them twice. First order no problems, but it’s been 3.5 months since I placed the 2nd order and I still don’t have it. After a couple emails they finally answered a month ago and claimed it shipped, but there’s been no updates on the tracking. They seem to be ignoring my emails again.
The order was more than $100 so it’s worth it to me to dispute it with Paypal.

The entire first week of October was a national holiday in china this year, so that’s true.
Just to put dates on everything. If I have this correct:
•Order was placed on the Friday before the holiday week.
•First inquiry about order replacement was that Saturday.
•Order shipped the Tuesday following the holiday week
So I think, it’s an unlucky situation with the holiday week, but in this case I think they technically shipped in 2 business days. Or next business day depending on when on Friday it was ordered I guess.
Right? Because I think the first business day after the day you ordered was Oct 9, that first Monday after the holiday week, the day before it shipped.
Yesterday they responded to my ultimatum of, well, respond to me or I’ll file a claim with PayPal. They didn’t say what happened, and I didn’t press it (one thing at a time) but they’ll refund the several items now out of stock and ship (re-ship? I don’t know) the rest.
I’m not too worked up over it but it is pretty annoying. But if these SFT40 5000K finally arrive and they turn out to have a green tint…

Thanks for keeping us posted, and glad to hear your PayPal ultimatum worked to get things moving (last time I had to use that was many years ago and the dishonest seller failed to respond, but PayPal had my back and after some reasonable delay, my money was refunded).
I hope Kaidoman stands by their word and make it right for you in the end. Please let us know when/if they do
The same thing just happened to me although it’s only been two months six weeks in my case.
I asked them about the order a week ago and right after that they changed the status to shipped and said “it’s already shipped” and then gave me a tracking number that doesn’t work. I don’t think anything has actually shipped.
Sounds similar. Did you try both tracking links? I placed my order on 6/26. After I asked if there was a problem, on 9/8 they marked it as shipped and I got the tracking info; however, tracking only ever showed “shipping info received” as-of 6/27 - no further updates. I suspect they never shipped it or it got lost. After a few seemingly ignored emails they finally responded this week.
I understand all sorts of problems can happen but they should at least respond to emails and let me know what’s going on.
Once after emailing them asking when they were going to ship an order, they gave me a tracking# for a package that was going to Greece.
As you know, I live in the US.
After questioning them about it, they gave me a different tracking# which turned out to be the correct one.
I don’t know if it was an actual mistake or not.
I did receive my KD order today.
Total time to delivery from the order date was 56 days.
The tracking number(s) never worked.
