Yea, i got it.
Thank you
Yea, i got it.
Thank you
I got my order tonight, woo hoo. Here's some silliness though....it's come from California? There's obviously a customs label under there somewhere, and I know it's from China so I'm not sure what's going on. Oh well, I got it.
Sorry, I don't have any of those but I got a triple U3 2700K 80+ CRI from MtnE in a SWM C20C and it's nice, not so bright of course. But the T5 7C1 would be soooo much better. Here's a view of mine, C20C on left:
Oops, C20C on right here:
It's the Wuben triple, here: https://www.banggood.com/Wuben-TO46R-3xNichia-219C-1000Lumens-5Modes-USB-Rechargeable-LED-Flashlight-p-1202282.html?rmmds=search&cur_warehouse=CN
It's pretty cool and one reviewer said 5800K - 7000K
I ordered an S2 pill
The thread pitch seems to match my S2 but the kaidomain pill has square threads and doesn’t work with my S2 which uses triangular-like threads. I’m not sure if S2 threads have changed over the years; my S2 is from about 2-3 years ago. Anyone else have this experience or perhaps success with this pill?
Some pictures of my latest Kaidomain LED orders.

Strange, isn’t it?
Seems not the first time when specs drift away from reality @KD
Has anyone got any of these to play with:

Just sent a private message to djozz, let's see if he would like to test such emitter.
Looks like you already got to play with it, 1stein. ;-)
I tested a bunch of Kaidomain emitters on P60 pills using the Texas Ace Lumen Tube calibrated with Maukka lights and a Sekonic C-800-U spectrometer. Output taken at 2s from turn on.

These tested pretty accurate in terms of tint bin and CRI. But it's also possible that you might be getting something worst than what you want. I ordered a XML2 two years ago that was supposed to be 7A3 bin (which means rosy tint) but it ended up being far above the BBL with yellow/green tint.
It would be nice if Kaidomain can test one emitter from each batch to ensure they are getting accurately labelled bins from their suppliers. Though I know it is difficult and time consuming to do but there are cheap $200 equipment that some people on BLF have used in-lieu of a spectrometer.

Are you sure these two didn’t get mixed up somehow? I find it hard to believe a CREE hitting 95CRI and SST20 3000K at 74…
Crap you are right!!! I looked under the optic and it’s actually the SST-20 3000K! It got swapped around with the XP-G3’s container. I edited my post above to correct the error.
I got a shipped notice today for my order from mid January …
And today the order arrived
SKV89, I guess the “3xXPL-HI” entries in your above table have a typo, they should read “Kdlitker 3x XPL HI 3000K T5 7C1 CRI90 P60 no lens”. I would also separate de 3x term or element from all emitter names, looks better and cleaner.
Nice information, thanks.
I got my order today as well, ordered 4/2/20,not bad.
The package was opened then taped back up with a green sticker;“examined by homeland security”

That is pretty cool. Quite :-)) literally, because you know 3000K is actually a cool temperature, while ≈5700+K is actually warm.
Ermm… either i’m missing the joke or you have warm and cool mixed up here? Or i have warm and cool mixed up… (I’m hoping i’m missing the joke )
Well Marc E, CCT wise lower kelvin temperatures (cool temperatures) correspond to “warm white” light sources, while higher kelvin temperatures (warmer temperatures) correspond to “cool white” light sources. You can read the color temperature article in Wikipedia.
A few questions for BanL.
The K6 flashlight host looks different between your site and your AliExpress store listings:
http://kaidomain.com/DIY-K6-LED-Flashlight-Host-175mm-x-64mm-Black
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32845429347.html
Besides the knurling, bezel and tailcap, dimensions are also a little bit different.
So what are the correct photographs/pictures of the host?
Furthermore, in the site the reflector hole is listed as being ∅9 mm. Looking at the following AE article description picture,
I see the reflector matches the below one in the site:
http://kaidomain.com/S021807-57_8mm-D-x-55mm-H-SMO-Aluminum-Reflector
This reflector has a ∅12.3 mm hole so, what's the deal?
Thanks.

Aha, of course! I’m so focused on colour temp when i’m on here i forgot Kelvin is an actual temperature unit! Thanks for the reminder
