Kentli / Jugee 1.5v AA Li-ion Batteries for a Torch ????

Is anybody using the Kentli AA batteries and if so how do you find them??

I bought a LED Lenser M5 and find there’s quite a lot of difference in brightness between a standard 1.5v AA and a rechargeable which is probably 1.2v and was thinking about getting a set of these to try … they’re awful expensive but if they do as they’re meant to thought they may be a good alternative as I do use the torch an awful lot and it’ll start getting expensive … the other alternatives are the non rechargeable Lithium AA’s but again the amount I use it will cost a fair bit.

Also does anybody have any idea what sort of run time you might get with the Kentli’s in comparison to a standard 1.5v AA which is supposedly 5 hrs on high.

Well, apparently someone has ripped it apart Kentli to look what’s inside.

I have seen that but a lot of it goes whooosh over my head … really just looking for simple simple yes they’re amasing …… or don’t touch with a barge pole because of x, y and z

I suppose you have seen my review: Test of Kentli AA 2800mWh (Blue)

I hadn’t found that actual page with the specific battery so thank you but had found the comparison page but again not clicked on the individual links and scrolled through.

I’m not great with graphs and it’s an awful long time ago I left school so bear with me but if I’m looking at your minute chart on the Kentli review it’s showing just under 40 mins runtime at 1.0A and approx 95 mins at a 2.0A draw …… any idea roughly what sort of draw the Led Lenser M5 may have or where I may be able to find that information so I can work out roughly how long the batteries would last???

You swapped the runtimes.
I would guess about 0.5A led current and about 3 times that in battery current, i.e. around 1.5A from the battery.

Sorry I did …… that was me having a mad moment …. so approx half way between the 2 …… 60 / 65 mins in that case ??

I wonder how they get 5 hrs out of a standard AA then as that’ll only be around 2500 mah and the 2800 Kentli’s equate to approx 1600 mah

Lower brightness. The brightness will vary with the battery voltage, when the battery voltage is low the brightness will be low.
