They say someone quickly did a cheap copy and that proves their concept is very good?

Except, the cheap copies apparently existed before they started designing their own.

Your product is already on the market. It seems like you just modified the external design and just barely so at that. Here are two retailers carrying your "revolutionary" product: http://www.kaidomain.com/Product/Details.S022116 http://intl-outdoor.com/2usb-mobile-device-charger-318650-xml2-sideswitch-flashlight-p-741.html
Here's a comparison of the charge end of your product and the "cheaply made" version: http://i.imgur.com/1gLmuKI.jpg

Hi Jacob,
What makes the ZeroHour different from a cheaply made product is that the ZeroHour is not a cheaply made product.
.........
Now I must say I am laughing while I am reading the comments on Kickstarter.

That sounds like circular reasoning to me :D
This is their design timeline below:
Which says they started designing in Oct 2012... At best they copied this one: https://budgetlightforum.com/t/-/8298 which was posted about in April 2012, well before they started working on their ZeroHour Tactical whatever.
I don't know when the one you posted was made (http://intl-outdoor.com/2usb-mobile-device-charger-318650-xml2-sideswitch-flashlight-p-741.html) but that's either a copy of the ZeroHour, or a modified version of the first linked light, which means the Zerohour is still only a slightly modified version of the one on intl-outdoor.
they have raised $108,000 for this project, at $130 each for charger only... so lets do some math
108000/130 = about 830 sold.
the intl outdoor price is around $55, and you know there is profit there...
830*55= $45,650. I would say at least $7000 would be profit on that, but I wont count that
10800-45650 = $62,350 in pure profit for simply redesigning the look of an already existing product... in a few months at that
got to love it

I'm in the wrong market. Time to quit and copy cheap chinese products. On a side note I don't believe they actually raised all the money. If you look at their trending table a bunch of high value pledges appeared near the end. I think it's likely they pledged themselves to push their project over the top.
they probably did... its pretty ridiculous either way lol.
i would like to see a side by side teardown/comparison of these two lights though
sad part is, the investors are not guaranteed to get anything at all from that

That second one at IOS was posted exactly 6 month according to this post
Their actual Kickstarter campaign started late, people in China could not have seen his design on Kickstarter and they must have manufactured the flashlight in April-May to offer for sale it in June.
They had to show a graph with their work since the resemblance is so striking.

again…it makes me wonder…is that for real or what?…if it is…well…nice profit
if it isnt, even nicer profit. i was reading about another project that was started up on kickstarter, that never seen light of day and thousands of dollars was invested into it. the investors saw nothing and all the inventor needed was proof that he tried to do it.

Yeah, that's also assuming it was posted as soon as the light came out. Also design work and testing would likely take more than a couple months anyways, either way the project smells fishy.
Thats cuz it's percisely made vs. those cheap knock-offs .
Obviously "You get what you pay for "
thank god they had the insight to forsee the needs of people before some
clone making scumbags stole their ideas .
You notice no one but them had the
wisdom
and foresight to make different colored bezels .
i'm also getting pretty upset about people using time machines to steal someone elses ideas .
It makes lots of history suspect when you have aguy like divinci drawing a helicopter ..Whats next ? Extra wheels on the sides of kids bikes?
