try looking for results under preflash or pre-flash. i’ve seen it in a bunch of flashlights i own, usually modded ones. i don’t see it as being harmful to the battery or light in any of the circumstances i’ve read up on
Thanks aginthelaw. I will have a go at those searches you mentioned.
Only experienced those ‘pre flashes’ on lights that have failed suddenly.
Got me worried there.
i would say its normal. my new klarus g20 does the same thing.
how you like the light? i was just thinking of purchasing one.
my concern is the switch being too squishy.
is there alot of play in the tail cap switch where you have to press down pretty firm in order to turn on the momentary? hows the throw on the light?
website says 14kcd, but their older version with xml2 also says 14kcd.
so was there just a 200 lumen increase but no increase in throw?
Hey blueb8llz, my new G20 does not exhibit the flash behaviour.
Apart from that flashing phenomenon, I think the XT2C is pretty alright.
I suggest taking a wait and see approach unless you really need a tube light.
My main switch feels alright, maybe coz I tightened the retaining ring.
Just a pretty light tap for momentary although I feel the flipper feels a bit squishy as compared to my XT11S.
Someone did bring up the the similar output query for the XML vs. XPL in another forum, the reply they got from Klarus was that the specs were correct.
They also hinted that an upgrade might be an upgrade in a few months.
I do not have the older XML to compare the output between the two.
