Hi all ,it was suggested I build a triple. ( scroll through for other builds)
so here we go ,inspired by the blf 26650 pocket light thread.
so I have on order 3x 36.5mm triple reflectors,3 x 37mm lenses
9 x 16mm stars with xpg3 chips.
2 x 105e 16 extra chips 1 blf x6 driver.
various orings
A start to 3 x different tail caps
due to photobucket issues I will just post some finished pics
stay tuned it could take a while
I have no idea what your building. Is it three triples? Looking forward to the continuation of your build ltp. As usual I have no doubt this will be different. :+1:
Yes three triples, all. slightly different but the same. and on a small budget, hence xpg / single cell format.

no just turned the tool sideways and wound it up and down.took stuff all time
Very cool design and machine work, enjoying the build! :+1: Triple and Quads with the optics are O.K. but I’d rather have triple reflectors in a small package like these! Where did you find these small triple reflectors?

around 65m to shed. Looks like some debris on the phone lens.
I guess around 2k lumens for 3 xpg3 at 6a , doesn’t take long to warm up.

Nice finish on this one ltp. You have stacking them chips down to a fine art. I’ll have to drop in and have a lesson.
Just a short word on the driver
don’t no if its the 8 extra chips but on medium mode its a full on mosquito (set on 3mode with memory)
is it firmware hardware or extra chips ?
so this Is my first light with audible pwm
It happens. I’m no expert but some do and some dont. A crook earth also wont help. If I get a chance I’ll drop in and you can give me a lesson on soldering chips.
Just a little update
2 more heads built slightly heavier diameter up to 41.5mm from 40mm
head is now 8mm longer shelf now 10mm thick and another 3mm of thread
in the driver battery tube area
one is for a 17mm driver the other for a 20mm.

Nearly finished? The wall thickness looks pretty thin in places. Must have had the sweat glands working overtime.
bit to do yet and i’m adding a quad to the mix/
series.so it will be 3x3+ a 4 all jammed into a 42mm dia head.
will have to trim the reflector a tad and perhaps tighten the thread pitch
and then we may see how good the blf drivers from bangood are…
a few hiccups and here we go.
had to trim the 16mm stars
solders a little ratty
slightly bigger than the first one
the blf driver is doing some strange things when trying to take a tailcap reading it flickers and goes back to low instead of the 4th mode
but works fine with the cap fitted,
Sweet builds ltp. Whats the leds? Have you got an anodising setup going?
