To gamble, or not to gamble…. 
The Acer Aspire pack I ordered said ‘Made in China’ on it. Acer spec’ed Samsung cells. The Chinese contractor bought the cells from Korea and assembled the pack around them, then shipped it out. Linky to the item in question?
my two acers pack are the same, both assembled in china, but cells are either made in Japan or Korea, i got 6 samsung and 6 sanyo.
I would believe him.
I have recently pulled 91 cells from laptop packs. All of the packs had “made in China” printed on the label. The packs were Acer, Asus, Dell and HP. They cells were Panasonic, Sanyo, Samsung, LG and Sony.

You should have led with that. No, I wouldn't believe it contains legit cells until proven otherwise. I see an Ultrafire battery in laptop clothing.
