I’m trying to make focused light that is exactly like this.
The beam shot has minimal spill and evenly lit. 70 mm diameter from 250 mm away.
The size of the unit is small.
The LED is using 3.3V at 550mA. They get 31,000 lux from 250 mm away.
1. Would their LED be domed?
2. What kind of lens setup is used? 2 stage? custom?
Aspheric lens. Any “zoomie” would do.
SK68, SK98, Cometa, Jaxman Z1, etc.
Oh, or you could buy an aspheric lens separately (you’re on your own, though, too many diameters, focal lengths, etc.), as it sounds as if you want to make your own.
Ah I see. Do you reckon the LED is domed or not? and how does that even affect the system? I’m thinking of paying someone to do all the maths for the OEM lenses. I just want to be more informed
Shouldn’t matter when zoomed out, but domed should be a teenytiny bit more efficient (ie, brighter).
