led E-Switch options if possible (need expert)

hi guys

so i was thinking somethign like a led E-switch

is it even possible

proberly need some expert advice as ive not got a clue how to go about doing it

would a lumintop fw3a even be able to have a led e-swtich

That would not be possible on fw3a since additional connection from the driver to the tail is needed. Check out Lumintop —EDC05— EDC18 which is basically fw3a with a lighted side switch.

i dont want a side switch pal

i love the fw3a series, and want that kind of torch

youve answered my question, it cant be done, ill find other ways, maybe crx typeof button trit!

Sorry, I didn’t mean EDC05 but edc18, but can’t edit from mobile. But as you just said, you don’t want that form factor. I mean everything is possible, but in this case controled led in tail would need both new driver and tail pcb given the way signal is carried to the tail, and also redesigned tube that carries the signal.

yeah it seems like a no go-er

if i didnt use it everyday i would try think of some kind of inside tube with a cut out andwire in there. but i dont want to ruin my torch making a prototype

maybe if i could get a spare inside tube i could work something out. but then taking it to pieces to charge the battery would be tricky

i just love the form factor of the fw3 series and fw1
