Inspired by the current discussions on the FFL350RD (beginning here, where a normal rectangular LED chip was installed instead of a round one), it might be interesting to check the LED chip on the FFL505A.
Teardown will follow later, but here is a first proof that the FFL505A actually has a real round LES with a bonding wire in each corner.
This can already be recognized without a tear-down by the pronounced dents in the silicone potting compound (marked in red).
