As you can see from my spectral data, no. These LEDs have positive duv, but not much. (up to 0.0026 for cool white, which is in accordance to ANSI/NEMA LED binnning)
I would say, the cool white is very slightly green, as for many cool white high CRI LEDs.
OK, Iâm still trying to look for Optisolis 6500K it seems perfect. this MN-S3535 might be good too if not for the blue peak.
Iâm disappointed with other high cri LEDs for the following reason
Bridgelux 6500K - too yellow and green compared to actual daylight
Sunlike 6500K - better tint than Bridgelux but doesnât have accurate green reproduction of skin. Tint is a bit on yellow-orange side if you get dUV -0.005. No other source of Sunlike 6500K other than digikey which has negative dUV.
I hated negative dUV because it simply doesnât look natural at all.
To me, Iâve found the SunLike 5700K to be visually indistinguishable from overcast sunlight, and see none of the yellow-orange tint (which sounds like a CCT characteristic, not tintâis the measured CCT lower than the specified 6500K?). In fact, I find its representation of green/cyan to be exceptional, leagues ahead of 519A and the sort and indistinguishable from sunlight.
It sounds like the main issue here with SunLike is negative duv. This might be fixed by distributing the same power across more emitters, which also boosts efficiency.
YES, I believe the issue why my Sunlike 6500K is not reproducing daylight as accurate as possible is its very Negative dUV close to ansi maximum of -0.006 The negative dUV causes an appearance of âyellow orange whiteâ instead of âbluish green whiteâ.
