As the title says the battery box to my headlamp is brock where you lock it close to secure the battery. Unfortunately Ledlenser does not restock these on their website. So i was wondering if anyone has a suggestion on an aftermarket option for a new batter box? Would love for it to be Type C rechargeable so its more convenient. Only issue is the box will need to be sble to connect into the adapter shown in the picture i attached. Would like to save the head lamp instead of just throwing it out.
Is it within warranty? Best course of action for a €/$/£200 headlamp would be to return to the manufacturer for repair, if they offer one, and it’s reasonably priced.
I’ve looked for a decent plastic, reasonably waterproof 18650/21700 holder for a DIY headlamp and found nothing, so unless anyone else has suggestions, I think you’re out of luck.
What is that conenctor? Is it a proprietary ledlenser connector?
You might have to chop it off and solder it onto whatever new battery you find.
A few more questions:
What is the voltage and shape of the battery the lamp uses?
How is the lamp recharged?
Do you have a multimeter and soldering capabilities?

I could get the tools to wire and solder if needed. Ive been looking around for an aftermarket option and i think im just out of luck. Bought the headlamp 2nd hand,was new but still not the original buyer from Ledlenser.
Is the connector micro USB? Looks like the charging circuitry is inside the plastic box, so your new solution would have to include a charging module to regulate the voltage and a BMS to protect the battery from over/under charge etc.

I think you will find the driver is in the battery box.
