Looking for a 2x18650 battery box

I`m looking for a 2x18650 battery case/box/holder

that I can use to put 2 cells in series.. but must be the minimum size dimensions a powerpack on my camcorder. (having 3400mah is rather better than around 1000mah.. and which is probably degraded to about 300mah after long time use)

Something along these lines: (I will change it to series)

anyone know where I can get just this type of box, without the light! and without the strap!

I have searched banggood, fasttech, ebay, but nothing that is as compact as these.

The only thing I found were Project Boxes and Power banks.. (but they are bigger, because of the circuit board etc.. )

nobody any idea where I can get these?

How about http://www.dx.com/p/7-4v-2-x-18650-battery-holder-case-box-with-leads-100997#.VDPh-RZuC7k

Ah.... thanks for the links.

I am looking for something enclosed, as it will be attached underneath my camcorder... so these open ones aren`t something I am looking for.

I really like the compactness /with lid, of the one in the OP

You can mod in serie.

Thanks.. thats the exact one I am using now.(white). but its too long.. its about 10cm..

its from a powerbank I never used....

but it sticks out underneath my camcorder.. so ultimately I would something around 7-max 8cm..

Could you just use a standard 2 x 18650 battery case (which you receive when you buy batteries) and custom wire in some terminals?

I could, but it's much easier to have something with some sort of internals like the headlamp box.

Plus I'd like something a bit better than that.

First I was looking at "project boxes" on eBay, but most have the wrong dimensions.. and I don't want to pay $15 for just 1 box of the right size. So it should be somewhere in between.

Thanks for the suggestions, keep m coming.

Everything I can find in 2 series arrangement are open design battery holders except for the covered 2P one Fasttech has in post 4. You may need to either open your current pack and replace the batteries or use an open one and glue a cover on after the batteries are inserted. Does it need to be openable so the batteries can be removed for recharging?

I opened the original pack, but I have never seen these kind of batteries before, plus I have no idea how I need to wire them up..

They will only have around 1200mah in series, and 2*18650 (NCR B) will have around 3400.

I wanted to try to fit some 16340 in them, but they don't fit, plus that would only have less mah. 700 vs 1200

The box in the OP picture is from the $7 headlamp. Maybe just get the headlamp and use the box? It’s cheap enough and you get some parts out of it, plus it seems to be what you want. However it is about 80mm+

Or modify something like this ? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/5V-1A-USB-Mobile-Power-Bank-Battery-Charger-Box-for-2x-18650-Battery-For-Mp3-EBA-/261462425066?pt=AU_Electronics_Batteries_Chargers&hash=item3ce05ffdea

This is what I currently have..
I usually can`t wait for stuff to arrive, so I first tried to use some stuff I had at home. and the powerbank had no use.. so took out all internals.. and changed it to series..

I used the long cable in case I just put the box in my pocket.. without the thing sticking from underneath.

when attached underneath it has to go to the front because of the battery connections on the back.. but I guess there is something I could work around.

Im happy with the very much improved "record-time", but not greatly impressed with how it looks like.
The main concern is my wife... she doesn`t like the awkward look of it.

I take it that you do not want to simply replace the original battery pack due to the poor capacity. I would presume that the pack is still available from a brand like Canon as they are typically a good support company for their products. The camera is so small that it looks to me like ANY 18650 box is going to have appearance problems.

I actually have bought another battery pack.. to save trouble with my wife ;) But its a generic one for $15.
The original Canon packs sell for $30-$60 which I didnt want to buy..

Comparing these 1200mAh packs with my cheap solution.. my kit will record for about 3 times as long. Which would mean about 5 hours of recording.
My current packs can only record to about 30 minutes or less.. because they are pretty old.

sorry, forgot to upload the pics of the inside of the battery pack.

They were connected a way I don`t understand. so I just keep it at that.and not replace just the batteries inside.

Have you found something good yet ChibiM? I’m looking for something similar
I really like this Helmet Battery Case I just wish it would be cheaper.
Here is a review at cpf with some better pictures.

This looks about as minimalist — and as waterproof — as could be possible:
