looking for a cycle light people help!!!

any help finding a cheap ish cycle light thats bright run time 4-5 hours…quite like the look of this being adjustable….http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/121014285146?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

can it be modded if im unhappy with it? i like this as i can use it to walk the dog across the fields aswel…

For a cheap bike light I would recommend a 1-mode 504b. Many of the multi-mode lights I have used for biking have failed in less than a week.

You can also look at an XTAR BK12 for a nice bike light.

If you are wanting to use a headlamp than I would recommend the UF-H6. It will be 10x more comfortable than the light you mentioned.

4-5 hours is way too long. Just carry 1 more battery with you and don´t run the light on high. That should do it.

Can’t comment on that one specifically, but I think the quality of those sorts of lights is fairly hit and miss. (Both in terms of drivers and batteries. There was a recent ‘battery fire’ thread over at mtbr.com that involved something like this.)

One other issue… while the listing claims the item ships from Wales, the business seller address is in China. So, if you had a problem with the unit, chances are you’re not sending it back to Wales.

You might consider looking at a normal torch or two on the handlebars. If you’re willing to use loose lithium ion batteries (there’s a few safety considerations to be aware of), you could get a couple of Solarforce L2m hosts ( http://www.solarforceflashlight-sales.com/product_detail.php?t=FB&s=2&id=485 ) $24; a pair of protected Panasonic 3100 18650 batteries ( http://www.fasttech.com/products/0/10001980/1141103-panasonic-protected-ncr18650a-rechargeable-3100mah ) $16; a pair of xm-l P60 dropins ( http://www.fasttech.com/products/0/10002212/1159800-cree-xm-l-t6-10w-led-drop-in-module-265mm ) $16; and a charger ( http://www.fasttech.com/products/0/10001919/1137904-miller-ml-102-universal-usb-smart-charger ) $7. Add a couple of bike mounts for about $5 ( eg: http://www.fasttech.com/products/0/10002597/1193003-universal-adjustable-flashlighttorch-mount-for-bic ) and you’re done. So, a little over 45 quid, and you’ve got something brighter, with better batteries, and more flexibility.

ive got a ultrafire wf502b can i get a good drop in for that? i wouldnt mind a good spot beam for this as i do a lil pest control and its ace on the rifle as i got a tactical pressure switch for it,so i could get one drop in with good spot for gun and one with a good spread for bike.is this possible?

i will try that one off ebay and let you guys know what its like, maybe upgrade it in some way?
